At MyPetIQ our app is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the MyPetIQ mobile application.

Information We Collect

MyPetIQ collects the following types of information:

• Pet Information: Pet names, species, breeds, dates of birth, weight history, and medical records that you manually enter into the app.

• Photos: Photos you choose to upload as pet profile pictures. These are stored locally on your device.

• Reminder Data: Dates and descriptions of reminders you create for vet visits, medications, and other pet care activities.

• Chat Conversations: Messages you send to the Dr. Paws AI assistant are processed by our AI provider (Anthropic) to generate responses. These conversations are not stored permanently on our servers.

How Your Data is Stored

All pet profiles, records, reminders, and documents are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your pet's health data on external servers. Your data stays on your phone.

Third-Party Services

MyPetIQ uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI): Powers the Dr. Paws AI vet assistant. When you use the chat feature, your messages are sent to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy can be found at anthropic.com/privacy.

• Apple (StoreKit): Handles in-app subscription purchases. Payment information is managed entirely by Apple and is never shared with us.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number

• We do not track your location

• We do not use advertising trackers or analytics

• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes

• We do not store your payment information

Children's Privacy

MyPetIQ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Data Deletion

Since your data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all your data at any time by deleting the MyPetIQ app from your phone. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all stored pet profiles, records, reminders, and documents.

Subscription Information

MyPetIQ offers optional paid subscriptions (MyPetIQ Pro) at $4.99/month or $39.99/year. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Medical Disclaimer

The Dr. Paws AI assistant provides general pet health information only. It is not a substitute for professional veterinary care. Always consult a licensed veterinarian for your pet's health needs. In case of emergency, contact your nearest emergency veterinary clinic immediately.
