# Privacy Policy for My Music

At **My Music**, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application handles user information, the device permissions requested, and our advertising practices.
Our app is primarily designed as a **local music player**. While core music playback occurs locally on your device without collecting or transmitting your personal data, the app integrates third-party services to display advertisements and retrieve online metadata.

* **Permissions Used**: `READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE`, `READ_MEDIA_AUDIO`
* **Purpose**: The app scans your device's local storage to locate, list, and play your audio and music files.
* **Data Handling**: We do **not** upload, monitor, share, or transmit your music files to any external servers. All playback and library management occur entirely offline on your device.
### B. Biometric and Fingerprint Authentication
* **Permissions Used**: `USE_BIOMETRIC`, `USE_FINGERPRINT`
* **Purpose**: Used for the "App Lock" or "Fingerprint Lock" security features to verify your identity before opening the app.
* **Data Handling**: We do **not** collect or store your biometric templates or fingerprint data. Biometric authentication is managed entirely by your device's native operating system. The app only receives a success or failure token.
### C. System Settings Modification
* **Permissions Used**: `WRITE_SETTINGS`
* **Purpose**: Used if you choose to set a local song as your device's ringtone, alarm, or notification sound.
* **Data Handling**: We only modify the specific setting necessary to update your ringtone. No other settings are accessed or modified.
### D. Internet and Network State
* **Permissions Used**: `INTERNET`, `ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE`
* **Purpose**: Used to retrieve online lyrics, load album art, use dynamic network features, and request/load advertisements from third-party advertising networks.
* **Data Handling**: Web requests for lyrics and album art do not transmit personal info. For details on how data is handled for advertisements, please see Section 3 below.

## 2. Data Sharing and Disclosure
Except for data collected by third-party advertising networks to display ads (detailed in Section 3), we do **not** sell, trade, rent, or share any user information (personal or non-personal) with third parties. Since the app is built to work offline for core playback, we do not maintain external databases containing your personal data.
