The baroque cathedral, center of the catholic life in Istanbul, the basilica visited by every pope in the recent history, is located near the Taksim square, the city center of the modern Istanbul.

I came here in the morning during my brief visit of the modern Istanbul. Perfectly hidden in the courtyard in the complex of buildings and schools. A pity that the grey morning corresponded with the grey facade on that day.
