I saw it for the first time on a school trip to Paris, all amazed by its gothic beauty. Then a couple of times again, but always so full of tourists that I enjoyed much more the moments in the parks and on the quays of the Isle-de-la-Cité. I was somehow not depressed when it caught the fire recently - it's been here for centuries and went through much more turbulent times, it will stay here as a memory of the past and present.
