WHAT IS MYMINDONFILM?
My Mind On Film (MMOF) Festival is all about inspiration, expression, understanding and stigma reduction with a focus on the Malaysian context. This project is central to the Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing’s commitment to engage with young people, hear their voices, and work together for progress.
FESTIVAL OBJECTIVES
The festival is the first of its kind in Malaysia and includes the following objectives:
Inspire sharing of perspectives and ideas
Recognise mental health is universal, changeable, and includes the positive
Break down stigma
ABOUT SEASON 3
The 3rd season of My Mind On Film festival was launched in conjunction with the Layar Perak 2.0 charity film-screening on 30th Dec 2022. For this new season, MMOF's competition theme is 'REVIVAL'.
Submissions open EXTENDED!

SUBMISSION CATEGORIES
With the momentum of the first few seasons and a growing MMOF community, MMOF 2023 will be accepting submissions from filmmakers around the world! And once again, MMOF invites submissions from young people in three categories:
1. Malaysian highschoolers (aged 15+)
2. Malaysian young adults (aged 18 - 25)
3. International young adults (aged 18 - 25)
AWARDS & PRIZES
All accepted films will feature in the My Mind On Film Virtual Festival and be promoted through our website and social media.
Grand Prize (Malaysian Young Adult Category)
➤ RM30,000 funding to create a mental health PSA film to be screened at GSC theatres
➤ Cash prize of RM10,000
➤ Full film screening at GSC Cinemas Award Ceremony
➤ Internship placement with Naluri
➤ Three (3) one-hour executive coaching or therapy sessions with Naluri
Best Youth Film (Malaysian High Schoolers Category)
➤ Cash prize of RM3,000
➤ Full film screening at GSC Cinemas Award Ceremony
Best International Film (International Young Adults Category)
➤ Cash prize of RM3,000
➤ Full film screening at GSC Cinemas Award Ceremony
➤ Three (3) one-hour executive coaching or therapy sessions with Naluri
Nine finalist films will be screened at one of GSC cinemas* during the Screening and Awards Ceremony in May 2023.

ABOUT CENTRE FOR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING
Launched in January 2020, the Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing (CMHW) is a collaboration between HELP University and the Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA) to support mental health at a national and regional level. This will be achieved through academic research, training programmes, and a think tank to anticipate and address emerging challenges and opportunities in mental health and wellbeing.
