1. About My Memory Verse

My Memory Verse is a Scripture memorization application designed to help users read, memorize, and review Bible verses through features such as Favorites, Reading Streaks, Practice Sessions, Community sharing, and optional Google Sign-In.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Choose to Provide

If you use Community features, you may choose to:

• Sign in with your Google account.

• Create a unique Community username.

• Share Bible verses with the Community.

Your chosen username may be visible to other users alongside verses you share.

B. Google Sign-In

Community features use Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication.

When you sign in:

• A Firebase Authentication account is created.

• Your account is identified using a unique Firebase User ID (UID).

• We store your Community username, account creation date, and last sign-in date for Community functionality.

We do not intentionally store your Google email address, Google profile name, or Google profile photo in our Community database.

Google and Firebase Authentication may retain account information necessary to authenticate your sign-in in accordance with their own privacy practices.

C. Community Content

If you share a Bible verse to the Community, we may store:

• Your Community username

• A unique account identifier (UID)

• Bible verse reference

• Shared verse text

• Date shared

• Community engagement information such as likes

Shared Community content is intended to be visible to other users of the app.

D. App Usage Information

To improve the app, we use Firebase Analytics.

Analytics may collect information such as:

• App launches

• Screen views

• Feature usage

• Practice Session activity

• Swipe Recall usage

• Notification interactions

• General engagement metrics

• Device and application information provided by Firebase Analytics

Analytics data is used only to improve the quality, stability, and usability of the application.

The app is not designed to use advertising identifiers for personalized advertising.

3. Information Stored on Your Device

The app stores certain information locally on your device, including:

• Favorite verses

• Reading progress

• Reading streaks

• Practice Session progress

• Practice statistics (Premium feature)

• App preferences

• Notification settings

• Theme preference

This information is stored locally to provide an offline-first experience.

4. Purchases

Premium purchases are processed securely through Google Play.

We do not collect or store your payment card information.

Purchase verification and billing are handled by Google Play according to Google's policies.

5. How We Use Your Information

• Provide Community features.

• Allow users to share Bible verses.

• Display Community usernames.

• Maintain Community integrity.

• Restore Premium purchases through Google Play.

• Improve app performance and reliability.

• Understand feature usage through analytics.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the application, including:

• Firebase Authentication

• Cloud Firestore

• Firebase Analytics

• Google Play Billing

We take reasonable measures to protect information stored within our services.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

8. Community Guidelines

Community usernames must not contain:

• Profanity

• Hate speech

• Offensive language

• Impersonation of others

• Illegal or abusive content

We reserve the right to remove Community content or usernames that violate these guidelines.

9. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your Community account by contacting us using the support email listed below.

After verifying your request, we will remove or anonymize applicable Community account information as appropriate.

Please note:

• Signing out of the app does not delete your account.

• Community posts may be anonymized instead of deleted so that shared Scripture content can continue benefiting other users.

• Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate operational purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

My Memory Verse is not directed toward children under the age required by applicable law to consent to data processing.

If you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately, please contact us.

11. Third-Party Services

This app uses services provided by third parties, including:

• Google Play

• Firebase Authentication

• Cloud Firestore

• Firebase Analytics

Use of these services is subject to their respective privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When significant changes are made, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this document.
