Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 21 November 2025
myMCQ is an offline tool that helps users create MCQ libraries, attempt quizzes, and track personal performance. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled within the App.
The App does not require accounts or collect direct personally identifiable information (PII) such as names, emails, or phone numbers.
However, the App uses the Google Advertising ID (AD_ID) to provide analytics and regional performance data. This ID is pseudonymous and can be reset or deleted by the user in the Android device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads).
All user-generated or app-generated data is stored only on your device.
This includes:
Imported or created MCQ libraries
Topics, bookmarks, highlights, notes
Quiz attempts, scores, and accuracy statistics
Daily target settings and history
Prompt templates and app preferences
None of this data is uploaded, synced, or transmitted to any server.
To improve the user experience and understand regional usage (e.g., state-level distribution), the App uses Google Analytics for Firebase.
Collected data includes:
Standard device identifiers (like the Advertising ID).
App usage events (e.g., specific subjects or topics viewed).
Geographical data (Country, State, and City) derived from IP addresses.
Standard crash and ANR (App Not Responding) logs managed via Google Play.
This data is used solely to improve the App's content and performance and is not sold to third parties.
The App:
Does not sell your data to third parties.
Shares certain app usage and device identifier data with Google (via Firebase) for the purpose of analytics and service monitoring.
External Links: The App contains links to YouTube for tutorial purposes. Clicking these links will open your web browser or the YouTube app. Once you leave myMCQ, the privacy practices of YouTube apply.
All data created within the App is stored locally on your device. You have full control over this data.
Uninstalling the App removes app-generated internal data (quiz scores, settings, targets, etc.).
However, MCQ libraries and topic files saved in your device’s storage are not deleted on uninstallation because they are treated as user-created documents.
These files remain on your device until you manually delete them using your file manager.
The App does not upload, sync, or transmit any data to external servers.
myMCQ is not intended for children under 13.
The App does not knowingly collect any data from children.
This Privacy Policy may be updated if the App’s functionality changes.
Any updates will be posted on this page.
