𝐘𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐘𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 - The ylang-ylang flower, also known as "𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢 𝘖𝘥𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘢" the carries a profound symbolism for the town's name. According to the accounts of early settlers in Kananga, the present-day Poblacion was once a dense forest teeming with abundant ylang-ylang trees. During the blossoming period of these trees, the forest emanated an enchanting fragrance reminiscent of the popular Spanish perfume back then called "𝘈𝘨𝘶𝘢 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘢." The captivating scent permeated the air, captivating the senses and evoking a sense of allure and beauty.
𝐒𝐔𝐆𝐀𝐑 𝐂𝐀𝐍𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓 - These two crops symbolize the main agricultural products of Kananga. Kananga is a town known for its abundant sugar cane plantations and vast rice fields, reflecting the local community's strong focus on cultivating these essential crops.
𝐆𝐄𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐌𝐀𝐋 𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑 𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐓 - The 𝘌𝘋𝘊 𝘎𝘦𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘗𝘰𝘸𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘵 in Kananga represents a significant milestone. Being Asia's largest geothermal power plant under one roof, it stands as a symbol of the town's commitment to harnessing sustainable energy sources. The presence of this power plant has greatly contributed to Kananga's thriving economy, serving as a catalyst for its growth and development.
