MyGarage Application

At MyGarage, we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how MyGarage handles your information, with a specific focus on your privacy rights and our data storage practices and that MyGarage does not collect  any of your information when you use our mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

The MyGarage App will Collect NO personal data.  All your data is stored locally on your device.

• NO Account details such as name, email address, and phone number, or profile information.

• No Vehicle data is is collected. 

• No Device information (Model, operating system, and unique identifiers) is collected.

• We may be provided by Apple, App usage statistics and crash reports to improve performance but not at a personal/device level.

Note: We do not Collect or sell your personal, or  vehicle data for internal or external use.

2. Camera and Photo Library Access

To help you take photos of your vehicles with your mobile device for storage in the app or to access photos previously taken of your vehicles, the MyGarage App will request  access to the Camera and to the Photo library on your device. The purpose being for the following:

• Camera Access: So you may use the camera to enable you to take photos of your vehicles and to add the photo into to the MyGarage data you have entered about each vehicle. 

• Photo Library Access: So you may access your photo library to upload an existing image of your cars to the information you have entered about each vehicle.

• Data Handling: Photos taken or selected are stored within the app’s local directory on your device. We do not scan, analyze, or share your personal photos with third parties.

3. Local Data Storage (On-Device)

We prioritize your privacy by keeping your data close to you:

• On-Device Processing: All Information including Data and Photos are stored locally on your Apple device.

• No Centralized Storage: MyGarage does not upload your  vehicle information or photos to a central server, all your data is held by you locally. 

• Backup : Export and Import: The export function gives you the choice of storing this locally on the device or to another one of your devices, or drives eg icloud, if you choose.

• User Control: Because your data is stored on your device, deleting the app will remove the locally stored data unless you have performed a backup/export.

4. Data Security

It is recommended you use the Export/Import Functions  of the App to store a backup of your data and images.

All data backed up is stored either on your local device, or an alternate drive of your choice.

We do not have access to any of this data
