•Learn to say 'hello' and 'goodbye' (bonjour et aurevoir)

• Learn and join in with singing the 'Goodbye song' ( aurevoir)

• Learn to introduce themselves by their name. (Je m’appelle)

Learn to respond appropriately when asked how they are feeling eg ‘How are you?’ ‘I am feeling well’

(Comment ca va? Je vais bien)

• Learn to say the names of the four seasons.

( hiver, printemps, été, automne)

• Learn to sing the ‘days of the week’’ song and to say the names of the days of the week.(lundi, mardi, mercredi, jeudi, vendredi, samedi, dimanche)

• Learn to say number names and to count to 10

• Learn to say how old they are (quel age as tu?)

• Learn to say when their birthday is

•Begin to learn the names of different body parts

• Learn words to describe different kinds of weather eg rain, snow, sun ( il fait chaud, il fait froid, il y a des nuages, il y a de la neige)

• Locate France and England on a map and look at the French flag

• Learn that the French flag is called the ‘Tricolore’ and the names of the colours on the flag

• Find out how Christmas is celebrated in France

•Learn about Easter traditions in France eg the Church bells being the bringers of the Easter Eggs (Subject Leaders will provide resources)
