Mary Myers

FOUNDER

Mary Myers founded the school district 40 years ago after being upset that her daughter couldn't stay at home at a boarding school in her local town of Nebraska. Being in her early 40s at the time, she helped start up the Gorden Terrarium School, inspired by her two children, Gorden and Terri Myers. The school was later split up into two different neighbor schools, Gorden Preparatory Academy (or GPA) and Terrarium School. GPA is a 6-12 academy that does not offer boarding feature, and Terrarium School is a Preschool to 12th that offers boarding for grades 6-12.

Mrs. Myers has retired in the past years, but that doesn't stop her from visiting the neighboring campuses. With her house on the Terrarium School property, she loves taking part in the fun activities on campus.

Terri Myers

SUPERINTENDENT

Teri Myers is the daughter of Mary Myers and has recently taken over her mother's district, supporting all of the staff in the district. As the inspiration behind the Terrarium part of the district, she loves to join students, faculty, and families in both campuses. Teri Myers is the head of the Myers School Country Board, which consists of elected members including parents, alumni, and faculuty.
