I am Savannah Burkett. I am currently enrolled at USC Aiken as a junior. I'm attending USC Aiken to get my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I am working towards passing my reading praxis core to get into the Professional Program in the Spring of 2024.  Whenever I accomplish my bachelor's degree, I want to go work at a Title One school close to the Gilbert area where I grew up at. 

Math Philosophy:

I believe that all children should learn math by having a great understanding of what math is in general. I believe that some children are afraid of math due to all the numbers that are involved. I also believe that students can learn math to the best of their ability whenever they have a teacher who is passionate about the subject and gives it a lot of praise. If you get the right teacher, math is a fun subject! Teachers can make math fun by involving their students in hands-on activities.
