A discussion text is a type of writing that presents arguments for and against a particular issue, with the goal of helping readers consider multiple perspectives before forming their own opinion.
Purpose: To present at least two sides of an issue and to explore different viewpoints.

The structure shifts focus from the doer to the receiver of the action, and it's commonly used to emphasize the action or object, describe processes, give a neutral tone in formal writing, or when the performer is unknown
Part of Speech
