MyEaze is a personal scheduling and task-management app for iPhone and Apple Watch. MyEaze is operated by Byan Ahmed, an individual. References to "MyEaze", "we", "us", or "our" in this policy refer to Byan Ahmed in that capacity. MyEaze is distributed on the App Store in the United States only. This policy explains what information MyEaze handles, how it is stored, and the rights you have over it.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at myeaze2@gmail.com.
In short
We collect the minimum required to sign you in: your email address and a display name.
Everything you create inside the app — schedule, tasks, notes, goals, end-of-day entries — is **stored only on your device**. It is never uploaded to a server we control.
Payments go through Apple. We never see your card details or billing address.
We do not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or any third-party tracking.
1. Data we handle
1.1 Account information (Firebase Authentication)
When you create an account or sign in, MyEaze uses **Firebase Authentication** (a service provided by Google) to manage your credentials. The following details are handled:
Email address — required so you can sign in and recover your password.
Display name — optional, used only inside the app.
Encrypted password — stored by Firebase. MyEaze never receives or stores your password in plain text.
Apple Sign-In identifier — if you choose Sign in with Apple, Apple returns an anonymous token that links to your Apple ID. If you selected "Hide My Email", we only receive Apple's private relay address.
Firebase is the only external service that holds your account information. For details on Google's handling of this data, see https://policies.google.com/privacy.
1.2 Content you create (stored only on your device)
The following never leaves your iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch:
Your work schedule, shift times, and shift assignments
Tasks and reusable task templates
Personal notes, personal tasks, and personal goals
End-of-day shift notes
App preferences (notification toggles, schedule period, etc.)
Your subscription status is not stored locally. Each time MyEaze launches, it asks Apple's StoreKit whether your subscription is currently active and uses that answer; we don't keep our own copy.
All of this data is stored inside iOS's protected application sandbox, and for sensitive values, inside the iOS Keychain. We do not operate a database that receives this content.
How each type is stored on your device:
End-of-day shift notes, personal notes, personal tasks, and personal goals use iOS Data Protection (`completeUnlessOpen`) so the contents are encrypted when your device is locked, and are excluded from iCloud / iTunes backups.
Your schedule, shift assignments, shift tasks, and app preferences are saved in the app's standard preference store (iOS `UserDefaults`). These files live inside the app's sandbox on your device and are protected by your device passcode, but they may be included in your encrypted iCloud or iTunes device backups. If you restore a backup to a new device, this content restores with it.
Authentication tokens used by Firebase to keep you signed in are stored in the iOS Keychain.
Apple Watch sync data is shared between your iPhone and Apple Watch through an iOS App Group on the same paired devices. It is not transmitted over the internet.
1.3 Purchases (Apple StoreKit)
MyEaze offers optional premium subscriptions sold through Apple's App Store. When you purchase, subscribe, redeem a promotional code, or restore purchases:
- Apple processes the transaction and your payment details.
- MyEaze receives a cryptographically signed entitlement from Apple that indicates whether you have an active subscription.
- We do not see your credit card, billing address, or Apple ID.
See Apple's privacy policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy for how Apple handles these transactions.
1.4 Notifications
MyEaze schedules **local** notifications — task reminders, countdown timers, and end-of-day prompts. These are created and delivered entirely by iOS on your device. MyEaze does not operate a push notification server. You can disable any of these at any time in Settings → Notifications.
1.5 Weekly summary sharing
If you tap "Send Weekly Summary Now," the app generates a PDF on your device and opens the iOS share sheet so you can send it wherever you want (Mail, Messages, Files, etc.). MyEaze does not retain a copy of what you share, and we do not receive a copy of the PDF.
MyEaze does not send marketing or promotional emails. Any email you receive in connection with MyEaze is sent in response to your own actions — for example, when you initiate a weekly summary share through the share sheet, or when you contact us using the address in §10.
1.6 Apple Watch companion
The Apple Watch app receives a read-only snapshot of your current shift, upcoming shift, and task list from your iPhone via a secure on-device storage area known as an App Group. This data is shared only between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch. It is not sent to a server.
2. What MyEaze does NOT collect
We do not collect, request, or transmit:
Location data
Contacts
Microphone or camera input
Photos from your photo library
Health, fitness, or HealthKit data
Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
Crash reports, analytics, or usage metrics
Any data from third-party accounts (social networks, calendars, etc.)
3. Data retention and deletion
Content stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it inside the app or uninstall MyEaze.
Firebase account data (email, display name) remains until you delete your account.
Deleting your account: open the app, go to *Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account*. This immediately:
Deletes your Firebase authentication record.
Clears all MyEaze data from the current device.
Deleting your account does not automatically remove content from other devices where you may have installed the app. Uninstall the app from those devices as well to clear data there.
4. Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data:
In transit: all communication with Firebase, Apple's Sign in with Apple service, and Apple's StoreKit purchase service uses TLS (HTTPS).
At rest on your device: end-of-day notes, personal notes, personal tasks, and personal goals use iOS Data Protection (`completeUnlessOpen`) so their contents are encrypted when the device is locked. Authentication tokens used by Firebase are stored in the iOS Keychain. Other content (schedule, shift tasks, preferences) is saved in the app's standard preference store inside the iOS application sandbox.
Backup behavior: end-of-day notes, personal notes, personal tasks, and personal goals are excluded from iCloud / iTunes backups. Other app content (schedule, shift tasks, preferences) may be included in your encrypted device backups and will restore to a new device if you restore from backup.
Tampering detection: the app warns you if it detects that your device has been jailbroken, as we cannot guarantee the security of data on a compromised device.
Input validation: free-text fields you enter are validated and sanitized before being stored.
No security system is perfect. You are responsible for keeping your device passcode private and your Apple ID protected.
5. Your rights
You can, at any time:
Access your data — everything MyEaze stores about you is visible inside the app.
Correct your data — edit any task, note, or profile field in Settings.
Delete your data — Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account, or simply uninstall.
Export your data — share a PDF summary of your schedule to yourself through the app's share sheet.
If you live in California (CCPA / CPRA)

We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, including for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How to submit a request. You may submit a verifiable consumer request through either of these methods:
1. Email: myeaze2@gmail.com with the subject line "Privacy Request".
2. In-app: for deletion, use Settings → Danger Zone → Delete My Account.
We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 days. We may need to verify your identity by asking you to confirm details associated with your account before processing your request.
Authorized agents. You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide written permission signed by you, and we may require you to verify your identity directly with us before processing the request.
Global Privacy Control (GPC). Because MyEaze does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, GPC signals do not change how we process your data.
