Possibly.
The purpose of this zine was to elevate youth voices into the global narrative of this historic moment, and who knows? There are lots of historic moments and lots of youth voices. Normally, we bring youth voices into conversations in more governmental ways - advising policy, writing powerful letters, speaking to the city council - so this zine has certainly been a fun and refreshing change of pace!
Not for free. Yes, we are quite skilled. Contact us for a quote.
Yes. The zine has been dreamed up, designed, promoted, and distributed by youth volunteers (humans under the age of 19) who are all members of MYCT, with the support of adult organization partnerships (that were sought out by these youth). Some of the works in the zine were supported/submitted by adults (chalk art was submitted by a mom, transition program hand prints were submitted by a teacher), but all art was directly created by youth.
We adverstised on social media, had work submitted through a Google Form, orgainized work and data in a Google Drive and Google Sheet. We desinged the zine on the platform Canva and had it printed by Minuteman Press.
