MYC MIssion

The St. Louis Mayor’s Youth Cabinet (MYC) is a group of St. Louis City high-school residents who are committed to civic engagement. They provide invaluable insight into issues affecting the lives of youth in the City of St. Louis. The MYC will work together to strengthen their communities through volunteer service projects and increased communication with municipal government leaders. St. Louis’ MYC develops and leads initiatives with the support from the Mayor’s Staff and Cabinet.

ABOUT OUR 2023-2024 TEAM

Grayson Stevenson - Chair

Instagram

Hi everyone! My name is Grayson Stevenson and I lead the Mayor's Youth Cabinet this year as the Chair. I have had the opportunity to work closely with the Mayoral Staff and our respective partners to empower the MYC and the voices within. I have had the opportunity to give back to a community in St. Louis City and County in a variety of ways. Through starting foundations like the CONA foundation and YVI (the Youth Voters Initiative) I have been able to streamline effective political communication within my community and provide accessible ways to encourage youth voting as well as educating those in my community about the importance of youth voting and how it can easily be done. Please feel free to reach out if I can help in any way! I am so excited to continue this amazing project with you all.

My name is Kennedy Thomas I’m 16 years old from St. Louis, Missouri. I attend Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School. I am a sophomore. Of course I love being a part of the mayor youth cabin. I play volleyball and I play basketball.  When I’m not focusing on sports or at school, I’m usually at my local community center Wohl helping out and enjoying all the people that’s around me. Another thing I love to do is hang out with my friends at basketball games and do more fun activities with them like going to the movies or just having a lunch date.
