Indeed, a Droid Life Saver

Taking a leap into the twenty-first century, the one thing that always keeps me awe-struck as a new-fangled is the rooted essence of magical combinations which very efficiently combines and incorporates the age old mantras and remedies with the modern-day technological enhancements (like Artificial Intelligence - AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, etc.). KARMI-Bot is yet another extensive and benevolent applications of the soring human intellect and the booming platform of robotics and Artificial Intelligence. As an aspiring Computer Science and Robotics Engineer, hailing from Kerala, I feel extremely delighted and proud to be witnessing the launch and action of a staggering project like this which not only highlights the power of automation but also asserts the importance of mundane temperament.

Contemporary world projects (which clearly includes KARMI-Bot) have proven to be an application and execution of concepts and logics from an inter-disciplinary perspective ranging from Computer Science in the software department to Robotics and AI to Cognitive Operations to Mechanical Designing to Electrical embeddings and what not. KARMI-Bot is one of the best ways to assure and guarantee the safety of numerous medical-field workers who relentlessly spend their time protecting and safe guarding the lives of the patients in spite of the terrible conditions which prevail – COVID’19. Hats off to ASIMOV Robotics for this marvelous production which had to be undertaken within a short span of time and with limited resources. The bot is capable of serving food, collecting medical trash, dispensing food wastes, etc. and sets up the best example of the ultimate key to unlock the door to a world free from the existing pandemic caused by CORONA Virus – Social Distancing. The main aim for the production of this robot was to minimize the interaction between the medical workforce and the victims who suffer from COVID’19 as intimate dealings with the infected patient would result in an exponential rise in the number of affected people, which would in turn rise the death toll. So, friends, let’s also do our bit by staying home and staying safe in order to break the chain and free the world from Corona Virus.
