In our latest version, **MyBME does not require user registration, account creation, or login credentials**. You can access and use the core features of the application without creating an account.

Depending on the features you use, the app may handle or store:

* **Local Data:** Biomedical equipment records, service calls, maintenance schedules, compliance documents, and daily hospital rounds are stored securely **locally on your device** (using local databases) and are under your control.

* **Community & Cloud Features:** If you choose to participate in optional community features (such as the Community Forum or Job Board), any content you voluntarily post (such as text messages or shared documents/images) is stored in our secure cloud database (Google Firebase) to facilitate community collaboration.

2. How We Use Information

Any information handled by MyBME is used solely for the following purposes:

* To provide, maintain, and improve the biomedical equipment management and hospital operational tools.

* To enable optional community-sharing features (forum discussions and job postings).

* To ensure app performance and reliability.

We **do not** sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

 3. Third-Party Services (Firebase & AdMob)

MyBME integrates trusted third-party services that may collect standard analytical or functional data:

* **Google Firebase (Firestore & Storage):** Used exclusively to power optional cloud-based features like the community forum and shared directories.

We take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to protect data processed through the app and its cloud backend. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

MyBME is designed as a professional tool for biomedical engineering and hospital management professionals. It is not knowingly directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
