Hi, I’m Dr. Brittney, the creator and host of My Black Homebirth Podcast. I’m a perinatal and pediatric chiropractor, childbirth educator, and passionate advocate for informed, empowered birth — especially within Black communities.
Over the years, I’ve had the honor of supporting hundreds of mothers, babies, and families through pregnancy, labor preparation, postpartum healing, and early childhood development. My work is grounded in the belief that when families feel seen, supported, and educated, their entire birth experience transforms.
My approach to care is:
Heart-centered — I meet families where they are, emotionally and physically.
Evidence-informed & gentle — honoring the body’s natural design.
Flexible & family-focused — from newborn adjustments on mama’s chest to meeting the needs of each unique pregnancy.
Rooted in advocacy — because Black women and birthing people deserve safe, respectful care every step of the way.
Launching My Black Homebirth Podcast is my way of expanding that care beyond the treatment room. I wanted to create a space where our stories can be told honestly, where birthworkers can share their wisdom, and where families can feel empowered to choose the birth experience that aligns with their values.
When I’m not adjusting mamas and babies, you can find me teaching childbirth education, running Well Prepared Nest, creating community resources, or spending time soaking up motherhood myself.
Thank you for being here. I’m honored to walk this journey with you.
