In September 2019, Mya and I were certified as a member of the "National Crisis Response Canine" organization.
Mya received her Supreme Title from the American Kennel Club, January 2023.
Her title is now: Mya, CGC, THD,, THDA, THDX, THDS, THDD
We are visiting: Rockton & Ralston Elementary Schools and Harlem MS (for the 22-23 school year). Visiting 3 Senior Living Centers, and making weekly visits for the 17th District Courthouse. We are also visiting with the Harlem/Roscoe & Loves Park Fire Departments.
Mya and Tom currently have recorded 1100+ visits.

Mya is a working Therapy Dog
A local Therapy Dog club providing comfort to anyone in need.
...Mya started her obedience training in October of 2015, age 12 wks.
...she completed her training in November of 2016, age 15 mts.
...she started Therapy visiting in December of 2016
...pre-covid we were visiting 8 nursing homes, 3 schools, and the county courthouse -- spending approximately 32 hours a month visiting
...we are a member of the 17th District Winnebago County Courthouse 'Therapy Dog Program' since January 2018
...we started Paws for Friendship, Inc -- Loves Park Chapter December 2016
... we were accepted into the 'National K9 Crisis Response Organization' April 2018. This is a 1 year training program for both Mya and myself, via online classes & webinars, community service, testing, training, & evaluation. Mya and I became a Certificated team in September 2019.
... I received certification as a Certified Pet First Aid & CPR Instructor January 2019, Mya is my assistant and demonstration partner
...we joined Bright & Beautiful Therapy Dogs, Inc in December of 2019 as a team and Evaluator.
COVID - 19
The only visiting we did was a few Zoom reading sessions with one of our schools.
November 2021; visitation started to open
May 2022, we are now visiting 3 senior living centers, 3 school, 2 fire departments, and the county courthouse.
On September 7, 2022 we completed our 700th recorded visit at. Lots more that were not recorded.
