Some of my strengths as a student and as a teacher are that I am patient with my peers and others, I am open to other viewpoints and I do not judge nor look down upon others for their weaknesses. A few of my weaknesses as a student and as a teacher are that I get overwhelmed easily, I doubt my ideas, and overthink everything. What I feel most confident about when teaching earth science is that it is not a subject like chemistry which I struggle with and would not be able to explain it as well. What I feel most nervous about when teaching earth science is that it seems like a lot of information to take in, such as, a lot of new words to remember and it is new information for me. My personal goals for this class are to be able to clearly teach my topic while also making it exciting for my students. By the end of the semester, I would like to open up more/come out of my bubble and learn how to overcome obstacles instead of shutting down immediately.
I have been present in every class and I have been staying focused throughout each lesson, lecture or activity.
Typically I spend on average about 8 to 9 hours per week on this class and my progress so far seems reasonable but I could spend more time on my artifacts for my portfolio.
When looking back at my goals I have partially accomplished them because I was able to learn information and successfully teach it, but I still need to work on opening up more/not being so shy.
The skills I have had the most practice with are public speaking, creating class activities and learning how to work/corporate with a group.
From the work I have done in this class, I would give myself a B+ for my letter grade because there is still some improvements that I could make.
I think I have revealed my personal strengths in this class when, I was being organized with my presentations, being able to work with my peers and being able to adjust to set backs in the class.
I think am the weakest with procrastinating and trying to stay focused for a long period of time.
I am planning on changing how I manage my time with this class, that way I have more time to study the material.
I have no concerns or comments at the moment.
Class/Teacher Interaction

I was 100% present for each class that was in session.
When you think back to your presence in class, what percent of the classes were you actively participatory in? (ie. not on your phone, talking, sleeping, etc.)
The percent in which I was actively participatory was about 95%.

Outside of class I spent on average about 8 hours a week doing work for this class.
How many times during the semester did you directly interact with me on an individual level? (ie. coming and asking questions, getting clarification, an inbox message, etc.)
During the semester I directly interacted with you about 40% of the term on an individual level.
How do you think that your participation with the class and me may have impacted your knowledge and growth in this class?
I think that when I did participate more I was able to fully retain the information, compared to when I didn't, I kept forgetting the information.
Practice work
How many of the practice work assignments did you get a "complete" on?
I got a complete on basically every assignment, some say missing but just have not been updated.
How many of the practice work assignments did you get an "incomplete" on?
I have about one or two incomplete practice assignments.
How many of the practice work assignments did you not attempt?
I attempted at each assignment throughout the term.
How many of the assignments that you did submit were submitted on time? (usually 1 week)
There was about 4 assignments that were a day or two late and the rest were on time.
When you look at those numbers above and your knowledge of topics, how do you think that your participation with the practice work impacted your knowledge?
My participation with the practice work really helped me grasp and have a hands on opportunity with the materials that were related to the lecture.
ePortfolio
How soon into the semester did you get your e-portfolio url created and submitted to me?
I got my e-portfolio created and submitted towards the very beginning of the semester.
How many objectives did you get submitted and receive feedback on throughout the semester?
I got about half of the objectives submitted and received feedback for each.
How many objectives did you complete within the last 3 weeks?
Within the last three weeks I was working on the last objectives and I still have one more to complete.
When you look at the answers above and your final product, how do you feel your e-portfolio turned out and the impact that the answers may have had on its quality?
I feel that my portfolio turned out average and that I could have put more time into this throughout the semester and fixed my errors right away.
Overall class
When you look at the overall class, the entire semester, what are you most proud of accomplishing during your time in this course?
I am most proud of keeping up with the work flow and being able to work with my classmates to build our presentations.
When you look at the overall class, the entire semester, what is it that you most wish you could change or do differently?
I can not think of anything that I would wish to change about the class but something that could be done differently or added is a day where students brainstorms ideas for their portfolio with fellow classmates.
When you look at the overall class, the entire semester, what final grade would you give yourself based on your current knowledge of the class objectives?
When I look at the overall class, the final grade I would give myself is a low A or a high B based on my current knowledge of the class objectives.
Do you think that your grade would match the grade I would give you? Why or why not?
My grade may be close to what you would give me but it might be a little lower because I could have some information incorrect.
Final Thoughts
Any last thoughts/reflections/comments on your personal work/participation/growth in this class?
Overall this was a very welcoming class environment and I felt that I was able to come out of my shell a little bit and make academic and non-academic growth.
