Go to https://www.photopea.com/ then click Open from computer and select the image you will be uploading.
Step 1
First, I chose a photograph that had an object and a solid background. As a beginner, removing the background of the image with a solid color is easier. I'll be using Photopea to remove the background from the image.
To begin removing the background, I moved the mouse to the left-side toolbar. I chose the first option, a magic wand, out of the three available. Each tool serves a distinct function. The sole purpose of the magic wand is that clicking on the white part of the image creates a dash marking that outlines the image. As illustrated in the following image selection.
When you select a background, you will see little boxes that appear as you outline. When the step is finished, it should appear like this. Now it's time to remove the background. After you've chosen the background, press the backspace or delete key on your keyboard. Following that, the background should be fully removed. If there are any stubborn spots where some of the background remains, proceed to step 4.
As you can see in this image, the background has been removed and tiny boxes have been added to create a translucent background. While there is still some white from the shadows that's under the soccer ball in the background, to erase that area, select it and click the delete or backspace button.
This is the last step in the background removal process. It is now time to save the image. Hover your mouse over the file icon in the upper left corner. Drag your mouse down and click export as. Then come the five options. Select PNG or JPG. To have a transparent background, save it as a PNG. When you click PNG, your image will be saved. Allowing the image to be saved with a transparent background, allowing the saved image to be used on another background or layer of another image.
This is the end result of the backdrop removal. Now that it's visible, the rest of the surrounding area is translucent, allowing it to blend in with whatever background it's in.
This is an important skill for me to achieve, especially when it comes to making my double-spread page. While editing may not always be the easiest option, learning the basics of how to remove an image's background is a great place to start. This is a valuable talent to have if you want to work as a graphic designer or in a similar field.
The first step is to visit DaFont.com, which has an extensive selection of fonts to choose from. You would look through various fonts to find one that would look good with your magazine. In addition, you should make sure that the font you're choosing is legible and acceptable for your content.
The next step would be to download the font you picked from DaFont.com. Before downloading, be sure to choose the correct format (typically TrueType or OpenType) for Photopea.com compatibility. Then save the font file anywhere on your computer where you can easily locate it.
The font will download as a ZIP file, depending on the computer. EXTRACT the TrueType or onetype file to a spot on your computer where you may return to it, such as My Documents. If you intend to reuse the font in the future, you should extract the files to your One Drive account.
Open Photopea.com and either start a new project or use an existing one. On the left side of the editing window, select the text tool. Navigate to the fonts dropdown menu. Select the "load font" button after clicking the dropdown menu. This should be in the font dropdown menu's upper right corner. Find the font file that you saved. Open Photopea and select the font. If prompted, choose "okay" or "yes" to open the font in Photopea.
This is the final result with the font on the graphic. Although the design of the font appears to be simple, it has its own personality. This provides structure to the plain graphic and makes it unique.
There are many important skills that I learned that I will use when I create my magazine. Dafont.com is an efficient way to find and use fonts that will fit the style of my sports magazine. While looking for fonts, I can simply search "sports" to get a variety of fonts that would suit my sports magazine. This skill is important to learn since there will be numerous times when I need to use multiple fonts for my magazine and this will make it extremely simple to choose the perfect one for my sports magazine. It's also important to understand how to download the font to your computer and upload it to Photopea.com so that you may use it.
These images were taken with the main use of the worms-eye view technique but two of these images show a close-up, worm-eye view of an MLS soccer ball, which is the main subject. The ball is placed at the center of each frame against a solid backdrop created by the dark sky. This technique helps to make the colors of the soccer ball stand out against the dark background, making it the main focus of the pictures. By placing the ball in the center of the frame, the audience's attention is drawn to it, making it impossible to miss. The purpose of using portrait photography in this instance is to highlight the MLS soccer ball. As someone who takes sports and soccer photos, I will keep this technique in mind to create similar pieces that showcase the main subject and make it the focus of the image.
Selective focus is a photography technique that is used in all of these images. When taking the photo, it allowed me to focus on only one object in the picture while blurring out the background. The picture's main focus is the MLS soccer ball and soccer cleats. To make the soccer ball the main focus of each picture, the background is blurred out, and the only thing not blurred is the subject (MLS soccer ball and Soccer cleats) located in the center. This technique draws attention to the subjects ( MLS soccer ball and Soccer cleats) and makes it the main focus of the picture.
The photos I took were captured from a bird's-eye view, giving a unique view to the audience. I intentionally made the MLS and Soccer Cleats appear smaller than their actual size to add an interesting look to the pictures. Most of my photographs also follow the "fill the frame" technique, where the main subject takes up most of the picture. The photo of the MLS soccer ball on the grass is a great example of how I combined both the bird's-eye view and fill-the-frame techniques. By using the bird's-eye view method, I was able to showcase the subjects from various angles and points of view, making the pictures more interesting and engaging.
After learning about the various techniques for taking photographs and putting them into practice, I have gained a better understanding of how to capture high-quality pictures. I have gained skills by taking pictures of my own and by studying multiple sports magazines, such as World Soccer and ESPN. With this practice of using these different techniques, I am now able to use these techniques to take better photographs for my magazine with greater confidence and ease.
