We work currently mostly in Hong Kong, but we are trying to become international, so we will be moving to places in Africa where poverty is most common. We chose this area because poverty in Africa is very concentrated in a few countries. Over 70 percent of the region's poor people live in just 10 countries. The places are Nigeria, D.R. Congo, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Madagascar, Kenya, Mozambique, Uganda, and Malawi. We will drive our Library to those places and offer the kids, teens, and some parents to come and learn.
There are lots of other orgonisations that are on a similar mission to us and try to help kids. Such as Scholarship America, Dollars for Scholars, ProLiteracy, Build Africa, Children International, Teach For America.
Instead of going agenst them though, we are trying to work with them. They are too very inspirational, and try to make a difference in the world.
What we do is understand where they are in their understanding, then try to teach them the basics. We encourage hands-on learning, independent research using our book source, but also to have fun. Kids can learn not just the basics of what most people need to know but also about what they want to do in the future. If they want to work at a band, we teach them a bit about it. If they want to be an artist then we teach them about that. We cover the surface area as much as we can until they can afford to go to a proper school.
