3. HOW THE APP WORKS

DARK scans your device’s local storage (only after you grant permission) to display video files available on your device.

All processing happens locally on your phone. DARK does not upload, sync, or analyze your media files over the internet.

Core features include:

4. PERMISSIONS USED AND WHY

DARK requests only the permissions necessary for its core functionality:

• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO

• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (for older Android versions)
  Required only when you choose to delete a video from your device.
  
  

These permissions are used strictly for video player functionality and not for data collection.

5. DATA SECURITY

DARK does not maintain any servers or cloud storage for user data. All files remain on your device and are protected by Android’s built-in security mechanisms.

6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

DARK uses the following third-party service:
