Just as the name implies, it is the plus for the family with a new baby, women who are in the preconception (never been pregnant) and prenatal (pregnant) stage of life, and for fathers or male partners. Triad Baby Love Plus (TBLP) Family Care Coordinators and Family Outreach Workers will assist you by making connections with community partners in Forsyth County and Winston-Salem. The program links moms, babies and dads with important health care and support services. This is a free program that is designed to improve the health of women, improve birth outcomes, and improve father/male partner involvement.

Consensus: Baby Love Balm is officially my favorite lip stain. I just can't get over the color, I love it! Yes, it is a pain in the a$$ to apply and doesn't offer any other benefits but ... I don't care! I'm a hibiscus convert! ? I also really like how I can layer it over SPF balms -- best of both worlds! I've put in an order for Glossier's Gen G in Jam to compare (Baby Love Balm has awakened an interest in berry shades) so maybe that will be a nice alternative that gets rid of the application issues... but for now, I'm okay with the jar.

So, my 8 month old son has fallen in love with our washing machine. When he sees it switched on, he gets super excited and starts squealing and kicking. He'll watch it for ages with a big grin on his face. When he's in his high chair, he keeps turning to look at it. And any time it's not switched on, or it pauses mid cycle, he looks at the machine, then turns to me, then back to the machine, and makes these little confused/worried (?) whining noises. I think it's freaking adorable, but I was wondering if this fixation is normal. I made the mistake of googling "baby loves washing machine" and all Google came up with was kids with autism who love washing machines. But most of these kids were a fair bit older than mine, like aged 2-4.

This was my third session with Lori (a maternity, newborn, and now this one). Waiting for babies to be 6-8 months old, when they are sitting up unassisted, leads to the sweetest sessions because the babies show lots of their little personalities and, of course, their smiles. Lori and Stella lives a few hours away from my studio, so working with them is always a special event. Every time I get to see this adorable duo, I leave work with a smile on my face and a heart full of gratitude for a career I love. I've been a HDC provider for 9 yrs. No matter how much time I spend with my daycare babies/kids, there is a special light in their eyes when mommy or daddy shows up. They may smile laugh and love me, too...but they do NOT light up for me the way they do for mommy and daddy.

When it comes time to leave your baby with your MIL, you may feel heartbroken, or not. Make room for the possibility that it may not be as heart-rending as you think. True, I have yet to meet a woman who leaves her baby for the first time with nary a care in the world, and true, you will take on responsibilities and fatigue you have never known. But you may not be as miserable as you think.

But as you have seen with your niece, when the mom comes around, we have to remember where the attachment instincts are at that moment: with your MIL. So even though you are the best mom who has ever walked the Earth, your baby is attached to your MIL, and it takes a minute for her to re-acclimate to you. There has to be a reversal of her attachment instincts at that moment.

All of this is to say that you should go forth and parent confidently. I spent a good amount of time with my grandmother (Mom Mom) growing up, and I was her angel. My mom could have seen this as competition, but instead she was grateful and loved that my Mom Mom and I were close. My mom knew that more love for children is good. So, as your baby grows, know that allowing your mother-in-law to help raise her grandchild is a gift to every generation.
