Make a Christmas tree. Without any ornaments.
Each day there is a reflection. Reflecting an Old Testament person, who led us to Christ.
Make an ornament to represent the person. Use the chart below. And hang the ornment on the Christmas / Jesse Tree.
Materials
Wreath Base: Choose from a straw, wire, or foam ring.
Candles: Four taper candles (traditionally three purple and one pink, or you can use white and add ribbons).
Candle Holders: Four holders, which can be secured to the wreath base.
Foliage: Evergreens like pine, fir, spruce, or holly.
Decorative Accents: Pinecones, cinnamon sticks, dried orange slices, berries, or ribbon.
Tools: Hot glue gun, wire, and wire cutters or scissors.
Instructions
Prepare the base: If using fresh greenery, condition it by soaking in water. If using a foam ring, pre-soak it.
Add candle holders: Place four candle holders evenly spaced around the wreath base and secure them with wire or hot glue.
Attach greenery: Trim greenery into manageable pieces. Secure the greenery around the candle holders and over the base, tucking it in at a slight angle to create a full and balanced look.
Fill gaps: Use shorter pieces of greenery and other decorations to fill any gaps and create depth.
Add decorations: Use hot glue or wire to attach decorative elements like pinecones, cinnamon sticks, star anise, or dried orange slices.
Finish with candles: Insert the candles into the holders, and add any finishing touches like bows made from ribbon.
