Privacy Policy — Max
Your privacy comes first
Last updated: June 2026
No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Max from you as an app user. Your watchlist and in-session search activity are handled on your device while you use the app. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.
1. Our Commitment to Privacy
Max is built to help you browse, discover, and save movies and series with confidence. We designed this app so you can explore trending titles, categories, trailers, and details — without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:
Your name
Your phone number
Your email address
Your home or mailing address
Your date of birth
Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)
Photos, contacts, or camera data
Precise GPS location
No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.
3. Information Stored On Your Device
To power your entertainment discovery experience, Max keeps the following in app memory while you use the app:
Saved watchlist titles
Your current search query
Selected category while browsing
This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Watchlist and search state are held in memory during your session and are not written to a remote profile. When you close the app, this session data may be cleared depending on how Android manages the app process.
4. Local, On-Device Processing
Max is designed for local processing wherever possible. Core features — including browsing demo titles, viewing details, managing your watchlist for the current session, searching the catalog, and changing settings — run on your device using locally bundled demo data and in-memory state.
Your watchlist and search preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. Demo movie and series information is included in the app and can be browsed without an account.
An internet connection is needed to load poster images from third-party image hosts and when you choose to open external links (such as the privacy policy contact email or share actions handled by your device).
5. Data Display and Sharing
Movies, series, cast, and descriptions shown in Max are fictional demo content bundled with the app for illustration only. Poster images may be loaded from public third-party image services (such as Picsum Photos) when you are online.
Your watchlist and in-app browsing during a session are read from your device's app memory — not from a cloud account.
If you share the app using your device's standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us.
Trailer buttons show a local preview message only. Max does not stream copyrighted films or shows inside the app.
6. Advertising
Max displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads on app screens and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you open a movie or series title.
Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device's advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google's policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.
You can limit ad personalization on your device through:
Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
7. Third-Party Services
Max displays advertisements through Google AdMob. Poster images may be loaded from third-party image hosting services. These services may log standard technical requests (such as IP address) according to their own policies.
We do not send your watchlist, search history, or app preferences to image hosts or ad partners as personal profile data. When you open an email link, share sheet, or any external URL from Settings, that action is handled by the respective platform — not by Max collecting additional data from you.
8. Cookies and Tracking
The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Max.
Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob. Third-party websites or services you open outside the app may use their own cookies and tracking — please review their privacy policies separately.
9. Network and Permissions
The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:
Internet access — required for loading poster images, fetching demo content artwork, and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob
Network state — used to check connectivity before network requests
We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.
Your in-session watchlist and search data remain on your device during normal app use.
10. Data Security
Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your watchlist and search state for the current session remain in app memory unless you explicitly share content outside the app.
You can clear all locally associated app data at any time through your device settings.
11. Children's Privacy
This app is intended as a general entertainment discovery utility with fictional demo content. It does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
12. Your Choices and Rights
Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:
Settings → Apps → Max → Storage → Clear storage
Uninstalling the app removes all data stored in the app's private storage area.
13. Changes to This Policy
If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
14. Contact Us
