A comprehensive curriculum for first-year English was developed by all five teachers of Nagoya University of the Arts’ Communicative English Course starting in the Spring Semester of 2022. The goal was to develop and share a range of activities that were both paper-based (using the textbook, handouts, or no handouts at all) and digital-based (including activities from Google Classroom and websites) for the 20 units of the selected textbook, The English Gym.
