Sorors, as we celebrate the momentous day of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., let us be reminded of why we honor him. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a towering figure in the American civil rights movement, renowned for his unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and nonviolent resistance. His leadership and vision were instrumental in challenging racial segregation and discrimination, inspiring millions with his powerful speeches, most notably his "I Have a Dream" speech. Through his advocacy for peaceful protests and civil disobedience, Dr. King advanced the cause of civil rights, ultimately helping to bring about landmark legislation such as the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. His legacy continues to inspire the fight for social justice worldwide.
Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through service is a powerful way to continue his legacy of promoting equality, justice, and community. Show us how you celebrate by posting your photos on social media using the following hashtags: #MWRSoars #MWRPinkPrint

Dear Sorors,
The Mid-Western Region Sisterly Relations Committee is delighted to introduce the MWR Monthly Sisterly Spotlight initiative! This special program honors sorors across the region who consistently model exceptional sisterly behaviors within their chapter or in the greater sisterhood. Our goal is to shine a light on sorors who may not always be publicly recognized but exemplify kindness, compassion, care, and a nurturing spirit in all they do.
Sorors are invited to nominate themselves or another deserving soror by completing the Sisterly Spotlight Form. Please ensure the form is fully completed before submission. The committee will carefully review all nominations for accuracy. Eligible names will be entered into a monthly lottery, and one soror will be selected each month. General members' names are welcomed, as well.
The selected soror and her sisterly acts will be submitted to Madam Regional Director for approval before being celebrated on social media. While a soror may be nominated multiple times, she can win only once per year. Photos are highly encouraged but not required.
We are excited to celebrate the beauty of sisterhood across our region and encourage you to participate in this meaningful initiative. Thank you for helping us recognize and uplift the incredible sorors who make our sisterhood shine.
Key Deadline: All nominations must be submitted by the 15th of each month.
