Myoungwon has over 10+ years of experience in distributed system and storage systems including distributed ledger. His focus is on resolving performance issues such as linux kernel, distributed storage system, consensus protocol, and virtual machine on emerging hardware and software (cloud and AI). He has been working on developing Ceph as a committer (e.g., seastore and deduplication) since 2018. Previously, he was a principal engineer at Samsung Electronics and a software engineer at SK Telecom. Myoungwon received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Seoul National University in 2020.
