Myoungwon has 15+ years of experience in distributed systems and storage systems, with expertise in Linux kernel I/O, virtualization, deduplication, recovery system, distributed storage, and consensus protocols. His work focuses on designing and optimizing high-performance distributed systems for emerging cloud and AI infrastructure. He has been contributing to Ceph as a committer since 2018, with major work on SeaStore and distributed deduplication. Previously, he was a Principal Engineer at Samsung Electronics and a system software engineer at SK Telecom. Myoungwon received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Seoul National University in 2020.
