The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize was founded on June 12th 2012 by three lodges that belonged to the Muy Respetble Gran Logia del Estado de Andres Quintana Roo. The three Grand Lodges were Corozal Fraternity No.11, Pythagoras #29 and Armonia Universal No.24. We are located in Central America and we are the only English speaking country in the region.

Distinguished Brethren,
With humility and deep gratitude, I stand before you as your newly installed Grand Master. This moment is not one of personal triumph, but of shared responsibility a sacred trust bestowed upon me by you, my brethren, and by the Great Architect of the Universe.
Today, we begin a new chapter in the story of our Grand Lodge one written not by a single hand, but by the collective labor of many. Each of you is a cornerstone in this great edifice of brotherhood, each contributing your strength, wisdom, and light to the Craft we so dearly cherish.
As we look to the future, let us reaffirm our commitment to the timeless principles that unite us Brotherly Love, Relief, and Truth. Let us practice Masonry not only within the tiled recesses of our lodges but in the open fields of life, where our conduct becomes our true ritual and our actions the finest lectures we can deliver.
May we continue to raise temples of virtue in the hearts of men, to square our deeds by the Square of morality, and to guide our steps by the Compass of righteousness. Let our words be kind, our hearts humble, and our hands ever ready to serve.
Brethren, the strength of a Grand Lodge lies not in its regalia or titles, but in the harmony of its members in unity of purpose, in steadfast faith, and in unwavering devotion to the Craft. Together, let us labor with renewed zeal, ensuring that the light of Freemasonry shines ever brighter in our beloved land.
As your Grand Master, I pledge to lead not by authority alone, but by example to listen, to serve, and to build bridges of understanding among all Masons under our jurisdiction and beyond. Let us strengthen our bonds with our sister Grand Lodges, and extend the hand of friendship wherever regular Masonry is found.
May the Great Architect of the Universe guide our thoughts, inspire our hearts, and bless the labors of our hands.
Let us move forward together united in purpose, steadfast in faith, and ever true to the principles that make us Masons.

Early Beginnings and History of Belize Freemasonry
The Grand Lodge of England chartered Amity Lodge No. 309 in Belize (formerly British Honduras) in 1763, which existed until 1813. In 1820, British Constitution Lodge No. 723 was chartered, followed by Royal Sussex Lodge No. 860 in 1831 however, both lodges closed and stopped functioning around 1862.
In 1963, the MW Union Grand Lodge of Florida, Prince Hall Affiliated chartered Steadfast Lodge No. 683 which still exists in Belize City. The Grand Lodge of the State of Andrés Quintana Roo chartered the following lodges in Belize: Corozal Fraternity Lodge No 11 in 1985 in Corozal Town, Pythagoras Lodge No. 29 which was first organized in 1976 in Dangriga Town and Armonia Universal No. 24 in 2010 in Orange Walk Town.
The Origins of the MW Grand Lodge of Belize
On June 12th, 2012, the Grand Lodge of the State of Andrés Quintana Roo, Mexico upon the request of its three warranted Lodges in Belize:
- Pythagoras Lodge No. 29 chartered November 16th,1976 in Dangriga Town,
- Corozal Fraternity Lodge No. 11 chartered May 28th, 1985, in Corozal Town and
- Armonia Universal Lodge No 24 chartered January 10th, 2010, in Orange Walk Town
authorized and empowered the formation of the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize ceding its previous territory in the country of Belize.
The Grand Lodge of the State of Andrés Quintana Roo is a regularly recognized Grand Lodge tracing its origins in 1980 from the United Grand Lodge of the Eastern Peninsula of the State of Yucatán which traces its regular origins in 1928 from the Grand Lodge of the State of Veracruz (Gran Logia Unida Mexicana del Gran Oriente de Veracruz). The Grand Lodge of the State of Veracruz is a well-established regular and sovereign grand jurisdiction which was constituted on December 24, 1885, and is recognized by the UGLE.
Territory
After its foundation in 2012, the Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize began to function as a sovereign and independent grand jurisdiction regularly formed for and operating within the country of Belize where it has established within its jurisdiction a total of 5 Lodges, divided across 5 towns.
There is no other grand lodge formed in or organised specifically for Belize thus fulfilling the doctrine of exclusive territorial jurisdiction that there is only one grand lodge formed for this jurisdiction.

The MW Grand Lodge of Belize’s Administrative Headquarters and Contact
The Most Worshipful Grand Lodge of Belize’s administrative office is in the town of Corozal. The Masonic Temple is located on the street Collage Road, which holds the office of the Grand Lodge and the amenities of a lodge. The temple has a capacity of fifty people.
