How can you participate?

One of the main goals of this Early Career Conference is to provide young researchers with low-stakes opportunities to gain experience presenting at conferences. We offer two options for each attendee: (1) give a 5-10 minute lightning talk, or (2) present a poster. We warmly invite all attendees to choose one of these.

The lightning talks will be short 5-10 minute talks given by attendees. These are intended to be self-contained and accessible to all participants. Examples include: "What is entropy?" "What is the Mandelbrot set?" "What is a geodesic?" "What is an SRB measure?" Talks can also be about the speaker's research.

Inclusivity

The organizers are committed to making the MWDSECC a welcoming space for all attendees. Those from historically excluded groups, including women mathematicians, black mathematicians, mathematicians of color, and others are especially encouraged to participate. The goal of the MWDSECC is to support and promote our mathematical community. We are open to any and all suggestions for fulfilling this goal to our utmost ability.
