Important Resources

eBooks can be found and checked out via ncrl.org or through MackinVia (see video below for how to access, if you need help- this was my first lesson for grades 3-5).

What is your Summer reading goal?

Add to our padlet and let us know how often and what you're planning to read!

Check out the free online resources North Central Washington Library has to offer us. Wenatchee School District students can use their online resources using only a zero, followed by your student ID for the "library card number" and "pin." Tumblebooks (GREAT for younger readers- animated ebooks and chapter books), Novelist, SIRS Discoverer, Culturegrams! You can also check out eBooks. Check them out!

Free for us during this time, expiring at different times during the summer, is a subscription to almost 5,000 ebooks and cool datasbases (Lightboxes are AMAZING). Connect to MackinVia and then select our school. You do need log in credentials. Those can be found on the library clever page, plus there is a button directly to MackinVia from there.

Our OPAC we use has access to our library of books, which you can review, if you log in with a zero and your student ID number. Plus, WebPath Express is a great search engine for kids to use, since each website has already been evaluated for reliability.

Parents... Please consider checking out Common Sense Media

for some excellent guidance on digital citizenship, which includes staying safe online, ethical use of information, cyber bullying topics, etc. They're a go-to for Wenatchee School District librarians for digital citizenship for a reason!
