Ammonia, Energy, and Water Recovery — Toward a Circular Future
Ammonia, Energy, and Water Recovery — Toward a Circular Future
Supported by TÜBİTAK–ARDEB 1001 (May 2024 – May 2027), this project pioneers a hybrid leachate treatment technology that integrates Mechanical Vapor Recompression (MVR) and Anaerobic electro-Membrane Bioreactor (AnEMBR) systems.
By coupling thermodynamic and electro-biological processes, the project targets ammonia recovery, renewable methane generation, and water reuse, advancing sustainability through resource circularity and zero-waste principles.
🇹🇷 Funded by TÜBİTAK–ARDEB 1001 Program
🧪 Duration: May 2024 – May 2027
🔬 Research Focus: Hybrid treatment of landfill leachate
🌱 Outputs: Ammonia recovery, fertilizer production, renewable energy, water reuse
