Community Builders Ideas

Build connection and community by helping MVPS staff plan fun, inclusive social activities for students and families in your area. These events are centered around relationship-building and shared experiences.

Planning Notes

• Choose 2-4 major events per year for sustainability

• Prioritize hands-on, interactive experiences

• Encourage student ownership and creativity

• Keep setup simple to avoid burnout

• Connect with MVPS Student Council to get their calendar of events & find ways to collaborate & support them.

• Partner with area recreation program - see if the rec program would consider offering discounted group pricing or special rates for designated MVPS PTO-sponsored events. We would be happy to help promote events to our school community and work collaboratively to encourage participation. Rather than long-term programming, we are primarily interested in single-event opportunities throughout the year, making participation easy and flexible for families.
