While Disneyland and Walt Disney World do have quite a few similarities, they are quite different. Both offer something for everyone no matter how much you love Disney or your age. Disneyland is the "original" theme park that was designed by Walt Disney and opened July 17, 1955. It is a piece of magic in the city of Anaheim, it also offers Disney's California Adventure Park directly across the courtyard and Downtown Disney which offers endless shopping and dining possibilities. You can fully be submerged in Disney and step outside the gates and enjoy the city of Anaheim. Walt Disney World really is like it's own city, just a short ride from Orlando. Walt Disney World was opened October 1, 1971 and offers four theme parks, 25 resort locations, unique experiences and Disney Springs that offers countless dining, shopping and entertainment options. While at Walt Disney World be sure to enjoy one of the four theme parks including; the Magic Kingdom where you can indulge in a dole whip, chase pirates, fly and elephant and make memories in front of Cinderella's Castle. EPCOT offers a trip around the world and adventures throughout the future. Enjoy numerous delicious foods and drinks from around the world, take an adventure with Remi and soar around the world. Hollywood Studios, is home to the stars. Enjoy a picnic with Mickey and Friends, play games with Buzz and Woody and explore Star Wars Galaxy Edge. Finally, don't forget to take time for an adventure at Animal Kingdom. Here you can come face to face with majestic giraffes, laugh with apes, and be transported to the world of Avatar.

There is extra magic at Disney during the holidays! No matter the holiday, Disney makes sure to celebrate it! From Mardi Gras parades at Port Orleans, Easter egg scavenger hunts at EPCOT, 4th of July Celebrations, Not So Scary Halloween Nights with Mickey and Friends to spectacular New Year's Eve Fireworks you won't forget the holidays at Disney. The magic of Disney even includes holiday changes overnight...magic happens the evening of Oct 31 as Christmas Decorations will pop up as early as November 1. Throughout the year, both Disneyland and Walt Disney World offer holiday experiences. Join the Lunar New Year Celebration and Festival of Holidays at Disneyland. The parks and resorts aren't the only things that get decorated at the parks some attractions even get holiday overlays. The Jingle Cruise at Magic Kingdom and Small World Holiday in Disneyland are just a few.
