Hello Everyone!
My name is Maya Hernandez and I am excited to introduce myself to you as the new Head Coach at Mounds View. I grew up in New Brighton and currently live in Mounds View, so getting to coach a team so close to home is something I've always hoped to do.
I played 4 years of varsity lacrosse at Irondale, then went on to play 5 years of college lacrosse: 1 at Concordia University St Paul and 4 at Hamline University. After my time playing at Hamline, I was asked to stay on as an Assistant Coach which I did for 2 seasons. In my time coaching at Hamline, I primarily coached draws and defense, but since my playing background is as a midfielder I have coached both the offensive and defensive side of the field.
I am currently coaching club with Minnesota Chill and am excited to now be heading this program at Mounds View! I am hoping to have a fun and competitive spring while players across all levels build their lacrosse skills.
I am looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

Hi everyone! I grew up in the Mounds View School District and went to Mounds View High School, where I graduated in 2020. I started playing lacrosse in 7th grade and played all throughout high school, where I was a captain my junior and senior seasons! I started coaching MVI U14s when I was in high school and started coaching for the high school right after graduating high school. This is my 5th year at the high school and my 4th year with Varsity. I also coach for MN Chill and help with Homegrown Lacrosse camps and clinics in the off-season.
I went to St. Catherine University for undergraduate where I was a Biology major and I played on the Women's Hockey team. I graduated this past May and am currently at the University of Minnesota in the Doctorate of Pharmacy program.
I look forward to seeing returning players every year and meeting new ones as watching our program grow year by year has been so special to see. I am excited for this upcoming season and look forward to all of the success the year will bring!

Hi all!
I am excited to join the MVHS coaching staff for the 2026 season! I have been playing/coaching lacrosse since the 4th grade, and I can't imagine life without being around the sport. I grew up in Sun Prairie, WI, and then attended Hamline University. I graduated with my BA in English in 2020.
I started coaching in college and have coached for a variety of programs. Most recently, I coached for the MVI youth association for a few seasons, so I have had the opportunity to coach many of the girls in the past. I also coach for MN Chill and Homegrown Lacrosse. I primarily work with defense, but I enjoy all coaching positions and parts of the game.
I currently live in New Brighton and really enjoy the communities that make up the Mounds View School District. Outside of lacrosse, I work for ACES in the Saint Paul Public School District, pet sit, and substitute teach in the Mounds View School District. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends, playing video games, reading, and traveling.
I look forward to getting to know all the players this spring and helping to grow the program.

I played lacrosse for four years at Mounds View High School, serving as captain my senior year, and then continued playing for three years on the UMN - Twin Cities WCLA D1 lacrosse club team. This season, I’ll be stepping into the role of head JV coach at Mounds View.
I graduated from UMN in May 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and I now work as a Software Engineer at Boston Scientific in Arden Hills.
I’ve been involved in coaching for several years, including four seasons with MVI youth lacrosse and previously as an assistant coach for Mounds View High School. I love seeing young athletes grow—both in their fundamentals and their lacrosse IQ.
Outside of lacrosse and work, I enjoy playing pickleball and board games with friends and family.

My name is Emma Reynolds. I grew up in Andover and played lacrosse at Andover High School and club for all four years. After high school, I continued my education and lacrosse career at Hamline University, where I played for four years, served as a team captain for two, and earned a degree in Neuroscience.
Outside of lacrosse, I work at Boston Scientific and love spending time outdoors with my husband and family, working out, and trying new things.
I believe sports teach valuable life skills—discipline, teamwork, goal setting, and perseverance. I’m thrilled to be part of the Mounds View Lacrosse community and look forward to helping the team grow this season!
