Dr. M. Vasan wears many hats. He is a teacher, researcher, consultant, author, reader, and motivational speaker. Inclined towards bringing a positive change in the way people learn, he devoted his time from an early age towards sharing his knowledge and experience.

Dr. M. Vasan, has completed M.Com., M.BA., M. Phil., Ph.D., SET. Presently he is serving as an Assistant Professor, at the PG and Research Department of Commerce, in National College (Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli. He specializes in the areas of Accounting, Marketing and HRM. He has penned 10 books in the domain of commerce and management. He has published 60+ research papers in journals of international and national repute. He is serving as an editor for 20+ international journals. He has acted as a resource person for various seminars and delivered special lectures in various prime educational institutions in India and abroad. He has acted as a chair person in the International Conferences organised by the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka and University of Kelaniya, Colombo, Sri Lanka. He has organised 18 seminars and workshops. He has completed 3 funded research projects. He has received financial assistance from UGC, ICSSR and Ministry of Corporate Affairs, NCW, GOI for organizing seminars. He has also organised 35 special lecture programmes. He has actively participated and presented research papers in about 70+ international/ national seminars and participated in 130+ workshops. He has guided 5 Ph.D., scholars. He has guided 13 M.Phil scholars. He is a life member of the Indian Accounting Association, Indian Commerce Association, Indian Academic Researchers Association, Exclusive MBA Global and Life Member in Indian Academicians & Researchers Association.

He is recipient of the Shri P.K.Das Memorial Best Faculty Award from Nehru Group of Institutions for excellence in research. He has received the most coveted Bhrat Jyoti Award from India International Friendship Society, Best Teacher Award from GRABS, Best Researcher Award from Indian Academic Researchers Association, Best Citizens of India from International Publishing House, Glory of India Award from Best Citizen Publishing House, New Delhi and Best Research Supervisor Award from IARA. Further, he has received Best Paper Awards for paper presentation in conferences and publication of articles in journals.

He has severed in different caveated positions and responsibilities like HoD, Placement Coordinator, chairman of board of studies, member of board of studies, ISO Coordinator and Member of Academic Council, Academic Audit, Research Coordinator, Event Coordinator and Standing Committee, member of doctoral committee and question paper setter for various universities and autonomous colleges.

He has undertaken Social Responsibility in the form of Free Research consultancy on application of statistical tools for research scholars in the domain of Commerce, Management, Education, physical education, nursing and Library science. Hence, He is assisting the students for getting financial assistance from various funding agencies for research.
