Thank you for stopping by. I began writing these poems after my daughter was born back in the late 1970's. My children and I always loved reading together and eventually I thought maybe others could enjoy them as well. The intent was poems that parents could read to their kids, especially at bedtime, to help settle them for sleeping. Poems that were fun, maybe a little adventurous, sparking imagination and educational at the same time.
Publishing can be a challenge and time flies by so fast. Before I knew it my kids were grown, and grandchildren had arrived. In the early 2000's, I took my collections of poems, began copyrighting them and looking for a publisher. It became obvious that self-publishing might be the best option to retain control of my work. Finally, after many decades, here they are for those inclined to read poetry with their kids. Maybe we need them more than ever in this digital age of disconnection. I hope you enjoy!
