You can't mute those, which doesn't make sense to me. They trigger as much as other things, especially when your team is afk and mental unstable and keeps spamming, because they are tilted for whatever reason.

this li ming kept using his voice line, followed me everywhere, stayed out of fights, and after the match sent me whispers that he was going to find me and rape me. I tried muting him but it wouldn't stop the voice lines. What do I do?

I am the owner of an Among Us Discord guild with some bots I implemented into it. When we play over on of the voice calls, sometimes people forget to mute themselves so we can hear them which often reveals valuable information.

I am trying to design a set of commands that will allow one person to easily mute everyone the voice channel. They use the command claim "VC Name" to claim command over the indicated voice channel, then use the command set_mute "true/false" to either mute or unmute everyone. The first part I have down, but I am struggling with the code of the second part that actually mutes/unmutes the voice channel members.

So I guess you're trying to make 2 methods named set_to_muted and set_to_unmuted but for this, you have to edit the main python files of discord.py library. Instead of that, you can create 2 async functions that takes member as parameter and you can mute them by this way.

Makes sense. Even in Hearthstone, you have an option to mute your opponent if he spamms voice lines. Sometimes, its fun, sometimes it can irritates me that much that I lose my focus and nerves and play bad because of it. Sometimes people spam so much, that I cant hear other important things in game. It should be mutable but only those voice lines what people can spam, not all other call outs of characters. Reposrt is not enough - that doesnt really solve the problem.

I don't see any option in the mixer? I see an option to mute men or women voices but not individual voices. In the treble cleff Soprano as V1 and Alto as V2 and in the bass cleff Tenor as V1 and Bass as V2.

This is a much needed functionallity for me. I make mp3s for my choir with the voices muted so they can practice together or hear the different voices. I guess I'll be going back to 3.6.2. until some later release.

Unfortunately this is not only a problem during generation of .mp3.

It also makes Musescore 4 unusable for realtime sound generation when practicing a single voice in multi-voice music by starting with only the relevant voice in the relevant part enabled and then gradualy enabling first the other voice(s) in the part in question and then gradually the other parts. Please get this functionality back as soon as possible!

Suggested implementation:

I suggest that instead of reintroducing the Musescore 3 concept of muting each voice:

In the Mixer:

Show a standard level control for (each voice in use in each part) instead of (as now) for each part.

Name the controls as [part][voice]. For instance "Soprano1" and "Soprano2"

For a typical SATB sheat with 4 parts, each containing 2 voices, the number of volume controls will thus increase from 6 to 10. But the functionality will get a tremendous boost seen from the end user - and be much more orthoginal seen from the programmer or system designer, because you get rid of the ugly "mute" buttons for each voice in each part and only need to increase the number of volume vontrols.

For SATB closed score...

You can mute voices by selecting them and unticking 'Play' in the Properties panel for the voices you do not wish to hear.

where the OP wants to extract each voice to make individual mp3's by muting the other voices.

I have the Corsair Void Pro Wireless. When I got it it had a voice saying when I muted or unmuted. I turned that off in iCue. But I still have this beeping sound whenever I mute or unmute, and it's quite frankly, annoying. Alot of times, if I move my head forwards (when muted), the mic can get stuck in just the right place between mute and unmute and it quickly switches between them mulitple times (while beeping each time) until I move it. This happens ALOT.

That's why I'm wondering if there is a way to turn this beep off? So it doesn't give me any feedback when switching between mute and unmute? I tried looking in iCue, but there was only the choice for the voice. It's the only thing wrong with the headset, but if there isn't a way to switch it off, I may have to change it (it's that annoying).

The latest voice prompts for mic mute/unmute with sidetone are crazy too much. So you might try the beeps, and then you notice there are way more beeps than before. I don't even know how to describe the unmute symphony you now hear.

You can even put in your own WAV files of the same name for that function. E.g., I recorded some pleasant beeps of my own for mute/unmute and put them in the .../sounds/default folder as files MicOn.wav and MicOff.wav (same names as seen after install). Those are the only sounds I care about at the moment, so I didn't add any others. You still have "Enable Voice Prompts", but you are playing your custom WAV files which can be voice or beeps or boops.

Throughout my time playing apex, there have been several times when players in the drop ship are furiously spamming the same voice line over and over again, which is extremely irritating. I also just had a game in which my teammate was spamming a voice line in the same manner for the entirety of the game and there was nothing I could really do about it. I tend to enjoy the actual character dialogue in the game and I don't mind the occasional voice line here and there, but someone having the ability to spam and cause audio clutter consistently without a way to prevent it is asinine. Please just allow me to disable voice lines from players or even from one specific player, if possible.

That's a great question, and I'd like to chime in on this! You can mute other players on Gorilla Tag. Use this direct link for the steps. Scroll to the bottom and click the toggle "Managing Playspace Best Practices." Here you'll find information on muting others.

Well, for some reason i kept hearing people talking in my ears, even at 11 pm when everyone were sleeping someone was loud talking and i got jumpscared, and i dont know in the future who will talk , i just want to know if there is an option how to mute everyone instead of just getting jumpscared everytime i hear someone,

In Windows 11, dictation has been updated and renamed as voice typing. Like dictation, voice typing uses online speech recognition technologies to power its speech-to-text transcription service. You no longer need to turn on the Online Speech recognition setting to use voice typing. You can also choose to contribute voice clips to help improve voice typing. If you choose not to contribute voice clips, you can still use voice typing. You can change your settings anytime in voice typing settings. Microsoft will not store, sample, or listen to your voice recordings without your permission. For more info, see Learn more about Microsoft and your voice data.

Once an app's voice assistant is activated and actively listening to provide a response, the info on your taskbar will change to look like the following screenshot for Windows 11, which in this case shows that Cortana has been activated:

Voice activation can also be turned on when the device is locked and the screen is off. Once an app is activated with a voice keyword, it will be able to continue listening to the microphone. Even when your device is locked and your screen is off, the app can activate for anyone who speaks near the device and have access to the same set of capabilities and information as when the device is unlocked.

Turn each app on or off where it appears under Choose which apps can use voice activation. If Allow apps to use voice activation is turned Off for your user account, you will need to turn it On before you can turn this setting on or off.

"Screen reader alerts allow you to hear custom announcements using your screen reader whenever specific actions are performed in Zoom, such as when the host has muted audio, when closed captioning is available, or when you have received an IM chat message. You can manage which alerts you want the screen reader to announce."

In my case, this behavior turned to be the fault of my Plantronics Blackwire 5220 series USB headset. You can customize headset behavior using Plantronics Hub Desktop, -apps/hub-desktop . The options are "Voice", "Single Tone" and "Double Tone". Unfortunately, Plantronics Hub does not offer a way to turn mute notification off entirely. (The beeps are better than the voice, but they are still unpleasantly loud...who comes up with terrible features like this?)

Unchecking the "sync buttons on headset" option (and restarting Zoom, which is necessary for this setting to take effect) does avoid the beeps, but makes it possible to have an inconsistency between the headset buttons and the Zoom mute status.

That thread doesn't offer a solution. I'm not trying to turn off the feature, as I said I like the mix and recommendations, I just can't stand this irritating voice. There should be a way to turn off the voice but keep the shuffle, or choose a different voice. 17dc91bb1f
