This privacy policy applies to the History Explorer (also referred to as "On This Day History") mobile application (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by the developer as a Free, Ad-Supported service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".
The Application itself does not explicitly require you to provide any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or phone number) to function. The Application does not require account registration or login.

Google AdMob: We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the Application. AdMob may collect and use data such as your device's advertising ID, IP address, and other diagnostic data to provide personalized or non-personalized ads. The Application uses your device's local storage to save your preferences and application state. This includes:
Your preferred language selection.
Your "Favorite" historical events and articles.
Your daily streak and progress (if applicable).
This data is stored locally on your device and is NOT transmitted to or stored on our external servers. If you uninstall the Application or clear its data, this local information will be permanently deleted.
In a case of an error in the Application, we may collect data and information (through third-party products) on your phone called Log Data. This Log Data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, device name, operating system version, the configuration of the app when utilizing our Service, the time and date of your use of the Service, and other statistics. This information is used solely to fix bugs and improve the stability of the Application.
We value your trust in providing us with your usage data, thus we are striving to use commercially acceptable means of protecting it.
