Aviation Podcasts
So many more... - email us if you find a podcast you'd like to share with others, we'll add it to this list
FAA References
Though this course is not designed to prepare you for your Private Pilot check ride, you should start to build some familiarity with the official FAA resources that a DPE will expect you to know and use (open book oral exam, but you must cite an FAA source). The PHAK covers most of what we cover in even greater detail and is a good place to learn more about a topic you may have been confused about (also great pictures!).
Weather Sources
We have so many great weather services at our disposal - play around with these resources to learn more about reading weather charts!
AWC - Aviation Weather Center - has the best pictures!
Sky Vector - very similar to AWC, I highly recommend both!
1800wxbrief - make your own flight service account (don't call a flight briefer if you don't actually have a flight to plan - they won't like that)
GNSS View (app) - find out what satellites your GPS has access to at any given time! Includes BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, SBAS, and GPS.
And last, but certainly not least, the cloud appreciation society - The cloud a day circular is the highlight of opening my email inbox :)
