The Army Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) Rifle Team is a precision marksmanship program that provides high school students with the opportunity to develop exceptional shooting skills, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility. This team focuses on training cadets in the safe and accurate use of rifles while instilling the core values of the JROTC program.
Members of the Army JROTC Rifle Team undergo rigorous training in marksmanship techniques, firearm safety, and competition rules. They use air rifles or small-bore rifles to participate in both local and national shooting competitions. These competitions often include events such as prone, kneeling, and standing positions, emphasizing precision and consistency in shooting.
Participation in the Rifle Team not only hones the shooting abilities of cadets but also fosters qualities like concentration, patience, and teamwork. Cadets on the team learn to work together, support one another, and compete with sportsmanship and integrity.
