Director

Mustafa AKYOL

Mustafa Akyol is Associate Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at Adana Science and Technology University (ATU).

Before joining to ATU, Mustafa was an Research Assistant (2011-2017) in the Department of Physics at Çukurova University. He was also worked as a Visiting Researcher (2013-2014) and as a Development Engineer (2014-2015) in the Department of Eletrical Engineering at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

He is currently working on the memory by focusing on development of electric-field and -current controlled magnetic memory chips. The interesting research areas are nano-magnetism, spintronics, metal and semiconductor based devices, in particularly non-volatile magnetic memory and logic, magnetic tunnel junctions, electric-field and electric-current control of magnetism in perpendicularly magnetized magnetic tunnel junctions, spin-orbit torques, spin-waves, II-VI and III-V diluted magnetic semiconductors, superconductivity for low and high Tc, topological insulators and etc. He is working with several university partners in the world.

Thank you for your interest!

Postdoctoral Scholars

Mehmet Ersin AYTEKİN

Mehmet Ersin AYTEKİN is an Assistant Professor of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences at Mersin Tarsus Organized Industrial at Tarsus University. Dr. Aytekin has been awarded a scholarship within the scope of "2218 Postdoctoral Research in National Universities" supported by "The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkiye (TUBITAK)". Dr. Aytekin will work on high-Tc superconductors during his postdoctoral research in NM3R Lab for 18 months.

He focused his studies on improving the Tc transition temperature, diamagnetic properties, flux-pinning mechanisms, and mechanical properties of high-temperature superconductors. In addition, his other areas of expertise are the production and characterization of thermoelectric materials, telecommunications systems, and electronic circuit design.
