How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want a single wearable that doubles as a sleep mask and a sweat-friendly yoga headband, choose MUSICOZY Sleep Headphones; if you need true wireless in-ear buds with a charging case, water resistance and a lanyard you can clip to a bag, choose Skullcandy Dime 3.
• MUSICOZY's biggest strength: a soft spandex-nylon headband that puts 40 mm drivers against your ears with no pressure points — ideal for side sleepers, savasana and anyone who hates things shoved into their ear canals.
• MUSICOZY's biggest trade-off: it's one piece, one size, fabric — you wash it, you wear it, you can't pocket it, and there is no case, no lanyard and no water-resistance rating in the specs.
• Skullcandy Dime 3's biggest strength: 20 hours of total battery (8 in the buds, 12 in the case), Rapid Charge, IPX4 sweat and water resistance, Tile finding and a built-in strap — a genuinely pocketable travel pair.
• Skullcandy Dime 3's biggest trade-off: they are in-ear buds, so they block ambient noise by design and sit inside your ear canal — the opposite of what a side sleeper or a tinnitus sufferer usually wants.
• For yoga specifically: MUSICOZY keeps your ears open to the room and stays put through forward folds; Dime 3 gives you isolation, a lanyard and the freedom to move without a band across your forehead.
• Buy MUSICOZY if you want one wearable for sleep, meditation, yoga and lounging. Buy Dime 3 if you want everyday true wireless buds for the commute, the gym and travel.
The MUSICOZY Sleep Headphones are a Bluetooth 5.4 headband with 40 mm composite drivers, a built-in microphone and touch controls, wrapped in a soft spandex-nylon blend with a mesh panel. The 200 mAh battery charges in about 2 hours and is rated for more than 14 hours of playback. It's machine washable once you pull the control pod out, and it's listed as one size fits most.
That combination is built for a very specific person. If you sleep on your side, share a bed with a snorer, work shifts, or deal with tinnitus, a flat fabric band is a different proposition from an earbud pressing into your ear all night. The same logic applies to yoga and meditation: nothing is jammed into your ear canal, the material is breathable and quick-drying, and you can hear your instructor or your own breathing while the music plays. It also handles gym, jogging, travel and general lounging, and it hides messy hair and sweat along the way.
Who should skip it? Anyone who wants isolation. This is an open, fabric-mounted design, not a noise-blocking one — the specs describe sound isolation nowhere. If you need buds that disappear into a pocket, survive rain, or come with a charging case and a finding feature, this isn't that product. It's also a single-size fabric item, so if you want a precise in-ear seal, look elsewhere. And if you'd rather not deal with a washable textile at all, this format will feel like extra maintenance. Check the current price on Amazon before deciding — the specs are what matter most here, not the number.
Skullcandy Dime 3 is a true wireless in-ear pair with 16 ohm impedance, a 20 KHz frequency response, 104 dB sensitivity and dynamic drivers. Battery is the headline: up to 20 hours total, split as 8 hours in the earbuds and 12 in the charging case, plus Rapid Charge for 2 hours of listening from a 10-minute top-up. They're rated IPX4 for sweat and water resistance, connect over Bluetooth 5.2 with a 10-meter range, and carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty.
The design details are what make them a yoga and travel companion. The carrying case is compact, fabric-wrapped and light, with an integrated strap so you can clip it to a bag loop or a keychain instead of hunting for it. Tile finding technology lets you ring a misplaced bud from the Tile app after registering the product. Three preset EQ modes — Music, Bass Boost and Podcast — let you tune the sound to what you're doing, and two Clear Voice Smart Mics use A.I. to keep calls clear. Multipoint pairing, Stay-Aware Mode and voice-assistant support round out the feature list.
This is the pick for someone who wants one pair of buds for the commute, the gym, the studio and the flight. The noise-isolating fit blocks background noise, which is great on a plane and less great if you need to hear a teacher's cues. The in-ear format means you get a seal, not a fabric band — and by the same token, they aren't made for lying on your side. If you want a headband you can sleep in, this isn't it. If you want small, tough, easy-to-carry buds with a case you won't lose, it is.
• Best for yoga and meditation → MUSICOZY Sleep Headphones. Nothing enters the ear canal, the fabric is breathable and sweat-friendly, and you stay aware of the room.
• Best for sleep and side sleeping → MUSICOZY Sleep Headphones. Flat headband, no pressure on the ear, 14+ hours of playback so it lasts the night.
• Best for battery life → Skullcandy Dime 3. 20 hours total with Rapid Charge, versus 14+ hours on MUSICOZY — and the case means you can top up mid-day.
• Best for sweat and weather → Skullcandy Dime 3. IPX4 is a real rating; MUSICOZY's washability is about cleaning, not water protection during a workout.
• Best for calls on the move → Skullcandy Dime 3. Two Clear Voice Smart Mics with A.I. plus multipoint pairing and assistant access.
• Best for losing-proofing → Skullcandy Dime 3. Tile finding and an integrated lanyard on the case.
• Best for sharing a bed with a snorer or shift work → MUSICOZY Sleep Headphones. That's exactly the use case its design targets.
• Best for commuting and travel → Skullcandy Dime 3, unless you specifically want a headband you can also sleep in.
For pure yoga and sleep use, I'd buy the MUSICOZY Sleep Headphones. The whole point of a yoga earbud is that it stays out of your way, and a breathable fabric band with 40 mm drivers and 14+ hours of playback does that better than anything that plugs your ears. That said, if your yoga is one part of a bigger routine — gym, commute, calls, travel — I'd buy the Skullcandy Dime 3 instead. Twenty hours of battery, IPX4, a lanyard case and Tile finding make it the more versatile everyday pair. Pick your primary use, not the spec sheet.
FAQ
Turn the buds on and let them enter pairing mode, then find them in your phone's Bluetooth list and tap to connect. If they don't show up, forget the old entry and repeat. For MUSICOZY, the sheet's own instructions are: turn off other Bluetooth devices, long-press the on/off button until the light flashes red and blue, then connect to "BT-FAAH".
Most true wireless buds reset by placing them in the case and holding the touch controls or a case button until the indicator flashes. Check your model's manual for the exact sequence. If you're troubleshooting a MUSICOZY headband, the equivalent move is powering it off and re-pairing from scratch.
Same drill as any TWS pair: both buds out of the case, into pairing mode, then select them in your phone's Bluetooth menu. If you're actually choosing between the two products here, remember the Skullcandy Dime 3 adds multipoint pairing, so it can hold two connections at once — handy if you switch between a laptop and a phone.
