How We Research
We compare products from their published specs and features; the verdicts below are our independent editorial opinions.
If you want a single wearable that doubles as a sleep mask and a pair of headphones, choose MUSICOZY 5.4; if you need earbuds that stay locked in your ears through sweat, rain and long gym sessions, choose sprtoybat Earbuds Sport. These two couldn't be more different once you look past the shared "Bluetooth 5.4" label. One is fabric you wear over your eyes. The other is a pair of hooked in-ear buds built for movement. Let me break down exactly where each one wins and where it falls short.
• MUSICOZY 5.4 — biggest strength: a flat, fully wrapped bamboo-fiber eye mask with ultra-thin speakers, so side sleepers get audio without anything pressing into their ears.
• MUSICOZY 5.4 — biggest trade-off: it isn't a sport earbud at all. There are no ear hooks, no waterproofing rating, and you wear it on your face, so it's useless for running or the gym.
• sprtoybat Earbuds Sport — biggest strength: IPX7 waterproofing plus flexible TPU ear hooks and three sizes of silicone tips, which is exactly the combination you want when you're sweating and moving.
• sprtoybat Earbuds Sport — biggest trade-off: in-ear buds sit inside your ear canal, so they're the wrong tool for side sleeping and long overnight wear.
• Who each pick is for: MUSICOZY 5.4 is for sleepers, nappers, flyers and meditators; sprtoybat Earbuds Sport is for runners, cyclists, lifters and anyone who needs buds that stay put.
The MUSICOZY 5.4 is a sleep headphone and eye mask in one. The design brief is obvious from the specs: a flat, full-coverage mask made from a blend of 70% bamboo fiber, 25% cotton and 5% spandex, with ultra-thin stereo speakers built in. The whole point is that you can lie on your side and turn over without a hard plastic bud digging into your ear or a headband shifting off your head. The fabric blend is chosen for breathability and moisture management, which matters more than it sounds when you're wearing something against your face for eight hours.
On the audio side you get Bluetooth 5.4 for fast pairing and a stable, low-latency connection, plus a built-in microphone for hands-free calls. The 200mAh battery is rated for over 14 hours of listening under typical use, and it recharges over Type-C in about two hours. There's also a silent hook-and-loop strap that adjusts without the loud ripping sound or hair-pulling you get from cheaper velcro, and a carry bag is included. It's black, single count, and the battery is included.
Who should buy it? Side sleepers who want to fall asleep to podcasts, meditation tracks or white noise. Frequent flyers who want to block light and sound at the same time. Anyone who finds regular earbuds painful after an hour. Who should skip it? If you want headphones for running, lifting or cycling, this is not that product — there's no waterproofing rating and no ear hooks. And if you need a battery that survives multiple days of heavy daytime use, 14 hours is an overnight figure, not a week-long one.
The sprtoybat Earbuds Sport is unapologetically built for movement. The headline specs tell the story: IPX7 waterproofing, flexible TPU ear hooks, and three sizes of soft sport tips (S/M/L) so you can dial in a fit that actually stays in place. IPX7 means sweat and rain are not a problem, which is the whole reason this category exists. If you've ever had a bud pop out mid-sprint, the hook design here is the answer.
Sound comes from 14.2mm dual-layer graphene drivers, and there's an ENC microphone that the spec sheet says reduces background noise by around 75% — useful for taking calls when you're outdoors or in a noisy gym. Battery life is where this thing really separates itself: up to 8 hours on a single charge, and the 800mAh charging case can recharge the buds 8–9 times for up to 68 hours total. Fast charging over Type-C gives you 2 hours of music from a 10-minute top-up, which is genuinely handy when you're walking out the door.
Controls are touch-based on the bud surface — play/pause, volume, calls, voice assistant. Bluetooth 5.4 handles pairing and auto-reconnects to your last device, with a stated range of 15 meters. It works with iOS, Android, laptops and tablets. The buds are in-ear with a hook shape, and the package includes the charging case, a Type-C cable and the extra ear caps.
Who should buy it? Runners, cyclists, gym-goers, and anyone who wants earbuds that survive sweat and stay put. Who should skip it? Side sleepers and people who dislike things inside their ear canal. In-ear buds with hooks are the opposite of what you want pressed against a pillow all night. And the noise control here is passive, not active — it's physical sealing plus the ENC mic for calls, not a full active noise-cancelling system.
• Best for sleeping on your side → MUSICOZY 5.4. The flat, fully wrapped design and ultra-thin speakers exist precisely so nothing presses into your ear overnight.
• Best for running, cycling and the gym → sprtoybat Earbuds Sport. IPX7 waterproofing plus TPU ear hooks is the combination built for sweat and motion.
• Best for long total battery life → sprtoybat Earbuds Sport. Up to 68 hours total with the case versus roughly 14 hours on a single charge for MUSICOZY.
• Best for blocking light as well as sound → MUSICOZY 5.4. It's an eye mask first and headphones second; the sport buds do neither.
• Best for clear calls in noisy places → sprtoybat Earbuds Sport. The ENC microphone is specifically designed to cut background noise for calls.
• Best for hands-free calls while lying down or traveling → MUSICOZY 5.4. The built-in mic works without anything in your ears.
• Best for a secure, adjustable fit during activity → sprtoybat Earbuds Sport. Three tip sizes plus hooks versus one adjustable strap on the mask.
• Best for a gift for a traveler or someone who relaxes with audio → MUSICOZY 5.4. The carry bag and silent strap push it toward a thoughtful, low-effort gift.
My Verdict
sprtoybat, clearly. It has IPX7 waterproofing, TPU ear hooks and three tip sizes to keep the buds secure while you move. MUSICOZY is a sleep mask with speakers and has no waterproofing rating, so sweat and rain aren't part of its design brief.
You can, but I wouldn't recommend it. They're in-ear buds with hooks, so they'll press against your ear and the pillow when you lie on your side. For sleep, the flat MUSICOZY design is the far better fit.
MUSICOZY 5.4 is rated for over 14 hours of playtime on a single charge and recharges in about two hours over Type-C. sprtoybat gives you up to 8 hours per charge and up to 68 hours total with its charging case, plus a 10-minute fast charge for about 2 hours of music.
That depends on what you need it for, and I'd suggest checking the current price on Amazon before deciding. If you want sleep audio, the MUSICOZY mask is the only one of the two that does the job. If you want workout buds, the sprtoybat covers more use cases for most people.
