Musicolet (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Musicolet mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.
By using Musicolet, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Musicolet primarily stores data locally on your device, including:
Playlists, favorites, and listening history you create
App settings and preferences (language, country, player settings)
Cached music metadata (titles, artists, album art, lyrics when available)
Local music library metadata when you grant storage/audio permission
We do not require you to create an account to use the App.
Depending on your device and features you use, Musicolet may request:
Internet access — to stream/search music, load metadata, lyrics, and ads
Audio / storage access — to scan and play local music files
Notifications — for playback controls and media notifications
Advertising ID (AD_ID) — used by our advertising partners for ad delivery and measurement
You can deny or revoke permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without them.
If you choose to connect Last.fm, Musicolet may send scrobble/listening data to Last.fm according to your settings and Last.fm’s own privacy policy.
Musicolet shows ads through ironSource / Unity LevelPlay and related ad networks. These partners may collect or receive:
Device identifiers (such as Advertising ID)
IP address and approximate location derived from network
Device and app information (OS version, device model, app version)
Ad interaction data (views, clicks, impressions)
This data is processed by the advertising partners under their own privacy policies.
We use information to:
Provide core music playback and library features
Save your preferences and playlists on your device
Improve app stability and performance
Show relevant advertisements
Enable optional features you activate (e.g., Last.fm scrobbling)
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share limited data with:
Advertising partners (ironSource / LevelPlay and their mediated networks) for ad serving and monetization
Service providers you choose (e.g., Last.fm) when you connect them
Authorities if required by law
Local playlists and library data generally remain on your device unless you export/share them yourself.
Local app data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App
Advertising partners retain data according to their own retention policies
Uninstalling Musicolet removes locally stored Musicolet data from your device
Musicolet is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
You can:
Revoke app permissions in device settings
Reset / limit your Advertising ID in device settings
Opt out of personalized ads where available on your platform
Disconnect Last.fm from the App settings
Clear app data or uninstall the App
Depending on your location (e.g., EEA, UK, California), you may have additional rights regarding access, deletion, or restriction of personal data. Contact us to make a request.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed by the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
The App may contain ads or links to third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their policies, including:
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
