Attendees can expect up to 15 minutes of music and performance per participant, from a variety of artists.

What to expect


Hosted by Mostro.xyz, Music For Democracy is a unique event that features musicians and artists of all stripes from around the world, all coming together to inspire and engage audiences about the importance of voting rights and democracy.

Participating artists are given a segment when they perform and present their work, touching on universal themes of peace, civic participation and the importance of voting.

As a viewer, you will see authentic performance of many artists. You can interact and converse with us in real time : ask questions, send reactions...

Viewers in the U.S. can check their voter registration status with event partner Headcount.

During the event, U.S. registered voters can enter to win a virtual meeting with a selected artist, sponsored by iVoted. This Meet & Greet will be scheduled after the event.

Viewers worldwide can connect with the artists and other viewers by scanning the QR code shown before each artist's performance. These QR codes link you to the artist's community at Momentify.xyz, our digital collectible partner.

For an immersive digital world experience, you can view the event live in our Metaverse provided by Nowhere.io.

FAQ for Artists & Audience

FAQS for the Artists performing : 


1. Is there a deadline to send an application?
The link to the form will expire on Monday, September 16, 2024 at 11pm CET (Central European Time). No applications will be taken into account past this date.

2. What is the required set list you need from artists?
We don’t require a set list; sending it in is optional. Each musical artist is allowed up to 15 minutes and up to 3 songs among which one of them would be related to the topics of democracy, social justice or community.

3. Are covers allowed?
Yes!

4. What’s the expected potential audience?
We expect the audience size to vary from artist to artist, from 100’s of people to 100K.

5. What promotion are artists getting for this?
Artists will be featured in Music For Democracy social media.
We encourage everyone to use the social media hashtags for us to repost your content:

6. What are the technical requirements?
Participants will need a stable internet connection, a computer or device capable of livestreaming on YouTube, and any necessary equipment for their performance (web cam, instruments, microphones, etc.).
More detailed technical guidelines will be provided after your submission is received.

YouTube train video tutorials will be available and calls' with the organizing team are available before the event.

The YouTube feed will be broadcast in the Nowhere Metaverse!

7. Are the artists going to be paid ?
We will be accepting donations during the event. Funds received during the event will be split among the artists participating and pro-democracy voting registration groups iVoted and Headcount.

Event partner iVoted is offering $100 to up to 25 participating artists to do a 15-minute Meet & Greet with selected viewers after the event.   

Artists joining this event are making a social impact, performing to promote and discuss the value of democracy. Artists from all over the world are coming together to raise awareness of voter registration and of the importance of your participation in the democratic process.


8. Who can participate in the event?
We welcome musicians, poets, comedians, actors, filmmakers, visual artists, tech developers, speakers from all over the globe to participate in this event with a focus on themes of democracy and voting rights.

9. How do I apply to perform or speak at the event?
You can apply by filling out the registration form at this link with your details and a brief description of your performance or speech.

10. How long will each performance segment be?
Musicians can perform up to 3 songs for a maximum of 15 minutes.
All other participants will have a maximum of 8 minutes for their segment.

11. How will the schedule be determined?
The schedule will be arranged to accommodate the various time zones of our global participants. Once all applications are reviewed, you will be notified of your specific time slot. We'll do our best to accommodate your prime audience's time zone.

12. Will there be rehearsals or technical checks?
Yes, there will be scheduled online rehearsals and technical checks prior to the event to ensure as smooth a livestream experience as possible. Participants will be contacted with specific details and times.

13. Is there a fee to participate?
No, there is no fee to participate in Music For Democracy. This event is organized to promote democratic values and voter participation.

14. Can I promote my participation in the event?
Absolutely! We encourage all participants to promote their involvement on social media and other platforms. We will provide promotional materials, and here are hashtags to help spread the word, and we can repost :

Collaborative posts on social media will also be possible with materials that we will work on together!  
Ex: Filming yourself inviting your fans to join the livestream, promoting your slot... that both Mostro and you can post on socials.
