My Methodology
Everyone learns differently, and that’s what makes teaching exciting! There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, so the way we work together will be flexible. We’ll build a personalized training plan that fits your lifestyle, supports your needs, and helps you reach your goals. Along the way, I’ll weave in music theory to strengthen your understanding and give you the tools to grow as an independent musician. I also like to explain the science behind each warm-up, exercise, and technique so you know not only what we’re doing, but why it works for your voice. I love embracing individuality and different styles of singing, so you can develop your unique sound while learning skills that keep your voice healthy and versatile.
My Voice Lessons are Playful
Voice lessons with me often feel more like vocal play sessions. We’ll spend time getting comfortable making silly sounds, playing voice games, and even trying out character impressions. This kind of playful exploration is not only fun, but also one of the best ways to really get to know your instrument and discover what your voice is capable of. Using your voice freely with others can be deeply healing, and I believe this kind of play is an essential part of learning to sing. It helps us relax, and being relaxed is key to singing well. Along the way, we’ll also do breathing exercises and gentle relaxation techniques to get both the body and mind into the most magical place for singing.
Beginning Ukulele
Discover the magic of music with beginning ukulele lessons! The ukulele is one of the most fun and approachable instruments out there. It’s portable and feels like you are carrying a little musical buddy wherever you go. Whether you’re at home, or relaxing with friends, the ukulele brings a peaceful, uplifting vibe to those you are around.
In these beginner-friendly lessons, you’ll learn the basics step by step, from strumming simple chords to playing your favorite songs. We will also go over music theory concepts such as note reading and rhythm notation. The ukulele is a wonderful way to ease into the world of string instruments, helping you build confidence and musical skills that can carry over to guitar and beyond.
