Music with Mrs. White

Hello! My name is Ashley White and I am excited to be teaching music here in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. I am originally from Richmond, Virginia. My husband and I moved here in August of 2021. I graduated from the Shenandoah Conservatory of Music at Shenandoah University in 2016 with a Bachelors of Music in Music Education. I am certified to teach choral/general music education for babies all the way through 12th grade. In addition, I became an Orff Schulwerk certified clinician in August of 2018. I taught music in the public school setting for 5 years in Virginia before relocating. In addition, I have choreographed award-winning middle and high school show choirs across Central Virginia for 15 years. My passion is teaching chidren to understand music while ALSO enjoying it at the same time! 

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, spending time with my 2 cats, husband and newborn daughter. Fun fact: My husband and I are on a mission to hike the highest point in every state! I am looking forward to meeting you and sharing the joy of music with your little one.
